It seems he's been "in medical school" since the tape trading days - I always wondered if he was taking one class a year.

Don t let his record fool you he s only fought the top tier guys for his time

 Good for Carlos!

He's on the 20 yr program. Just kidding, props to Carlos for coming back showing that he's still able to compete and win at a high level!

Newton is more skilled than his record would indicate. congrats to him on a nice win. Hopefully more big things to come from him

3t

awesome fighter and definitley better than that record indicates. is there a better .500 fighter out there?

That's true. And Newton is only 32, although it seems like he's been in the sport forever so he still has a bunch of good years left in him.

^^ yeah that fight was crazy, Newton Vs Pele is still one of my favorite fights. Newton on his A game is a very dangerous opponent.

Yeah I remember that, against Jean Riviere or something like that. Hopefully he takes this sport seriously again wouldn't it be awesome if he worked his way back to the UFC.

Newton was also doing very well against Anderson Silva until the flying knee.

That commentary makes me appreciate Rogan so much more

anyone who's been around the game a while knows carlos is legit. no explanation necessary

Reed- great job on the video. carlos  was like 19 yrs old in this fight and out weighed by about 90 lbs

very bright guy. carlos once addressed the PRIDE crowd in fluent japanese .

hope he is doing well

Come back to the big time, Carlos!

 that is awesome news
