Car's Door Get Scraped at Work. Wut Do?

Several deep scrapes from what looks to be a swung door. Car is a black Cadillac 2012 SRX if that matters. Try to buff out? Take to Earl Scheib? Have some Emo kid use his black nail polish pain over the gouge? Call insurance company? I assume my employer has no liability here.

Same thing happened to me a few years ago in my office parking lot. I had a huge gash from somebody smashing their door into my door, with white paint rubbed off onto my black car.

I noticed a security camera on the light post above where it happened. I went to security to get the car/plate info of the motherfucker who did it. They wouldn't give me any information w/o a warrant, I escalated to their management with no luck. So I called the police to file a report & waited over an hour for them to show up, which they never did. In the end, I paid to have it fixed myself. I hope the fucker who did it dies a painful death.

I'd see if there's a security camera, maybe you'll have better luck than me. Good luck.

Key everyone's car that parks in the same parking lot as you. Phone Post 3.0

Both sound pieces of advice. VU.

Sometimes car insurance will pay for it if it isn't your fault.

Hearing stuff like this makes me a little less angry when I see nice cars being parked in two spots, hell if I had a nice car I wouldn't want faggots fucking up my paint/doors

LOL. What really sux is a month or so ago, a buddy of mine saw an SRX in the parking lot parked horribly and gave me grief about it. It was another 1. But since that day, I have made it a point to park straight and in the middle of the spot even more so than before. Didn't help. Still got Edward Scissorhands'ed.

Always park away from everyone else. Even if its packed, the people that park far away are a lot more courteous. As per Vincent Vega, "you never fuck with another man's automobile".

I work in a huge office, but the parking lot for my building is relatively small. U park where u can. Often times, even the roof is full by 9

I do this. Like 10 spots away from the nearest car. At least half the time when I come out, some asshole is parked right next to me. Phone Post 3.0

That sucks, get there early if schedule allows?

I would usually make a little ruckus that someone scratched your car & what a scumbag the person was not even leaving a note. Guilt is a good deterrent.

Yeah. I get here usually a half hour early and stay 15 minutes late. This was not an accident. To create this level of multiple gouges, you would have had to put a lot of pressure on your door scrape my door so deeply. Almost like a keying, but thicker. I initially thought key until I got closer to the door.

Cowards.

Smear poop on the outsides of your doors next time. No one wants to get poop on their car. Phone Post 3.0

WOW, what a piece of shit. It sounds deliberate. Is there a dent?

I know my door has flown open when its windy, as I mentioned I usually park away from people for my & their protection.

doesn't look dented. I am going to go take some pix and upload.

Some guy backed into my car when I was at work and smashes the drivers side window.

I cam out to my car after work and noticed my window and immediately went to check if there was a note.

There was a note and it read: 'I saw the person that hit your car. Call me.' and left their number. I called the cops first and a cop came in 15 minutes. He looked at the note, took pics of my car and said he'll cal me after he calls the number.

Officer calls about two hours later saying the person took down the licence plate and they found the guy.

Guy ended up paying for everything. But was still such a hassle. Phone Post 3.0
