castillo is the best at this weight period. no one will touch him. i thought lazcano would have a chance but i still picked castillo to win. and he did it alot easier than i thought he would.
freitas hits hard but lets face it. sooner or later he is gonna get exposed for the one dimensional fighter he is. corrales might do it.. but if not... castillo will. i think castillo stops freitas in 10 or sooner.
corrales is tailor made for castillo. weak chin with a bad defense. castillo will send him down so many times i will be laughing. corrales has that long frame to get nailed in the body time and again.
castillo stops both at this weight. hes in a league all his own right now.
who do you think takes these fights?
Castillo's power and chin would be enough for him to beat either guy IMO.
i think castillo would beat both within 10.
lazcano can beat them both aswell.
castillo is the man at this weight period. no one will touch him. no one
gator i agree with youre take on castillo.
but i feel lazcano would destroy technically both chico and freitas. they are possibly both more powerful than castillo and lazcano knows he screwed up by trading power with castillo, a much harder hitter than he.
plus i dont know how a corrales / lazcano fight would go. there both trained now by goossen. i think lazcano will have to go back with roach.
freitas is to one dimenstional. he would get his midsection busted up. castillo's chin is way to good to go down from either one of there shots. heavy handed they are. but not enough to send castillo down.
lazcano is a better boxer than both corrales and freitas. lazcano could edge them out if he stuck to his game plan and didnt throw down.
castillo can box and go to war and kill both of them
i think in a rematch.. castillo wins easier with lazcano aswell. he'll have the mental edge and to much confidence.
ur hate for lazcano is ridiculous man.
i dont think freitas would beat lazcano. lazcano is a better boxer than freitas is. hes learned his lesson from trading power with castillo. he would know freitas and corrales hit harder. he would be forced to box.
corrales IS NOT better than castillo. get that thought out of youre head. he got knocked down many times in his two fights with casamayor.. a relatively light hitter in comparison with castillo. i cant guess how many times corrales would hit the deck if castillo was bombing him the way he did to lazcano.
corrales would get his lanky long torso punished by castillo's body attack.
freitas would be a good slugfest as he has a much better chin than corrales does so it might be competitive for the first 5-6 rounds. but castillo is a better boxer with a better chin and his stamina is ten times better than freitas. freitas is known to fade worse than dlh in the later rounds. and castillo is known to pour in on harder in the later rounds.
totally disagree with you. freitas has faded worse than anyone down the stretch. his last fight was the ONLY fight he didnt fade to badly in. but he did fade.
his power will always be there. just like tyson had power up until lennox sent him down for the final.
and youre also totally wrong about freitas being knocked down more than corrales. i dont understand how anyone can make such a stupid statement. ur take on castillo being top dog is something i agree with.
but youre hatred of lazcano and revere for corrales is just ridiculous. corrales goes down more than jenna jameson and freitas does have a decent chin. alot better then corrales.
lazcano would box both of there ears off
i think he'll take on stevie jonston again to regain confidence. i can also see him taking on barrios or someone else up near the top ten spot. goossen is a motivator, so he'll motivate lazcano again to get to the top of his game. also i think that lazcano over trained. roach knows lazcano's limits. so he wouldnt have overtrained him. but goossen did.
i think he'll have a better showing next time out
well to be honest... he overtrained lazcano and it showed.. there reports of it aswell because maxboxing and boxingtalk both said so. lots of overtraining reports came out
I thought Goosen was known for being a GREAT physical conditioner. Isn't that part of his reputation as a trainer??
actually according to the reports ive heard. goossen WAY over trained him. roach knew his limits. so he would have had him better prepared i think. but goossen actually had him in there sparring with shane mosley and other heavier fighters.
i heard lazcano peaked about 4 weeks before the fight actually happened.
go to doghouse
maxboxing
boxingtalk... they all say he was overtrained
