cbjj rules question

"FROM ADULT THROUGH SENIOR (BLUE & PURPLE BELT)
MATA LEO WITH FOOT
SLAM FROM THE GUARD
LEG LOCKS
CERVICAL(only without chokes)
BICEPS LOCK
CALF LOCK
SCISSORS TAKEDOWN
HEEL HOOK"

I pulled this off the cbjj website in the violations section, and just wanted to make sure this sounds right. For blue and purple belt does this mean there are no leg locks allowed what so ever? It also surprized me that scissor takedowns were illegal too.

straight foot locks only for blue and purple. Brown and black add on toe holds

Scissor takedown=ACL, LCL and MCL Killer

buzzbjj is correct.

and knee bars and calf slicers but heel hooks are banned in BJJ

sensible imo - its banned in Judo and if done incorrectly (which it invariably is) can lead to severe leg damage.

"sensible imo - its banned in Judo and if done incorrectly (which it invariably is) can lead to severe leg damage."

yeah, I agree. I had just never noticed it was banned in bjj as well. Though there isn't much point in using a scissor takedown with almost no leg lock options available anyhow.

Please correct me if Im wrong as I have a friend competin in the Pan Ams and I forgot the rules!

Purple belts= no kneebars, no toe holds but regular straight ankle locks are okay?

?

correct.
