Cesar Gracie: Who should Nate fight next?

Chris Power - Either the winner of Pettis/Lauzon or Jim Miller.

Either is fantastic.

lol at a dominant 3 round pasting being a fluke

Nates performance wasnt the fluke. donnies performance was the fluke. he was flat footed all night.been following him a LOOOOOOOONG time. prolly since b4 u were born (no insult to u... more to myself)he normally has this awesome (somewhat cocky) rocking motion when he fights...ie his fights in WEC (against champs). his 1st fight with ben henderson was one of the best fights I've ever watched. Ben is among the top 3 (if not the top) 155er in the world. Nate is FAR from it.

not attempting to put him down, but cowboy is definitely far more well rounded than nate..

If you've been following Cowboy so long you're also aware that he's a slow starter who routinely gives up first rounds, and if an opponent can get a mean lead on him and disrupt his momentum before he ever gets it (especially guys like the Diaz brothers who seem to just build momentum as fights go) he has difficulty getting back into the fight.

I picked Cowboy to win, but he lost in a traditionally Cowboy way.

no doubt. be slow start is one thing, he never got out of it. I honestly think he thought too much about it. he always gets off somehow, even if it goes to the ground. if i had to guess, he gave diaz the credit he deserved for his ground game, but he shoulda gone back to his usual, aggressive, "I dont care who i'm fighting" attitude, trust his training, and go for it. he would if they ever fought again... and i believe he would win... and yes 9 outta 10 times. though there is the factor of kryptonite. all fighters have another fighter that is theirs... maybe nate is his.... I just doubt it.

Wrong division now dude

He should fight Pettis/Lauzon winner to be the next to face Frankie/Bendo

Sal Penis - LOL @ Cesar. Cesar's trolling again. He knows Nate would walk through Barboza and all his flashy kicks. Nate would keep coming forward and outbox the crap out of Barboza. Easy win imo.

I really think he should fight winner of Bendo/Edgar.

Since when does beating Guillard merit contender spot? He's overrated as hell. Lauzon or Pettis really dont bring anything to the table for Nate. Nate's striking and Jitz is on another level and neither of them are wrestlers. So easy win there also. JIm MIller? Got dominated by Bendo but he beats Guillard and he's in the running? LOL People please stop with Guillard UFC hype machine.

Beating Gomi and Cerrone warrants a title shot in the shark tank known as the UFC 155 division? I think not.

I like Nate, but he's a fight or two away from a title shot imo.

Is Sean Sherk coming back soon?

Gotta be Jim Miller. Phone Post

lol at anyone walking through barboza , especially on the feet, considering nate isn't a great wrestler.

1 win against a strong wrestler and I'll support this.

21 wins, 21 finishes has something to do with it.

maynard rematch?  risky fight for Nate but if he won it would be huge.

Maynard was gifted a decision against Nate and a title shot. Diaz fights Edgar instead of Maynard and UFC history is completely different.

Umm, Gomi is a former CHAMPION and was considered the best lightweight on the planet for a longgtime. Since when are any of these bums former champions that defended? Never.

If they won't give Nate a title shot then I'd rather see Maynard vs Nate again because it's a respectable and legit fight for #1 contender.

PPV numbers wise, Nate would sell more than any of these guys. Especially if Nick was maineventing the same card.

Yes, Gomi is a former champion. He's 1 - 3 in the UFC and no where close to title contention. Although it was an awesome performance from Diaz, I don't think it really moved him that far up in the UFCs LW division in regards to a title shot.

Cerrone, while on a tear, was working his way to title contention as well. He was just about to move into the upper echelon of the division, with Diaz in some peoples eyes being another stepping stone for him... but Diaz showed him what was up and walked away with the W. This win, once again impressive for Diaz, does not put him in to the #1 contenders spot.

As others have mentioned, a good match up would be him against the winner of Pettis/Lauzon, JIm Miller. Hell, even though he is coming off a loss he could have a rematch against Gray Maynard, but I don't see that happening. He wins any of the previously mentioned match ups and then I would start considering him for a title shot.

No interest at all in seeing Maynard vs Diaz II. I think the suggestions of Miller are OK, although if Miller wins he knocks Nate out as a contender and does little for his own stake after being smashed by Bendo, whether Bendo wins against Frankie or not.

Lauzon Vs. Pettis winner makes the most sense putting him in line for a shot or at least one more fight away should he win. Also I think Lauzon vs Diaz would be a great fight.

Finally, in terms of the Cerrone fight being a fluke in regards to Cerrone's performance or Diaz'. That is a total joke. I picked Diaz from day one (have pics so did happen), and maybe Cerrone just couldn't get into his normal 'rocking motion' or slow, Thai-style starting rhythm because he was being constantly blasted in the face from the opening bell.

Bendo and Frankie would do what Rory did to him except worse. Phone Post
