Chael Won Me Over Today

Guy has budo like no other. He was willing to come in on eight days notice, having no camp, and having not fought at LHW in years, to save this card and take a shot at the title.

He says some crazy shit sometimes, but the dude is a warrior. Much respect.

One of my favorite chael quotes is when he talks about guys declining fights because they "aren't good for their career" or they're "protecting their legacy". He said when you decline fights or don't step up, that's what your legacy becomes. People are going to remember guys like chael, or dan and jim miller, who take any fight, anywhere, any time and don't get scared about how it will affect their "legacy" with more reverence than those who do the opposite. Chael is the real deal.
