Chances Gaethje can stay off the fence?

It’s no secret that Khabib isn’t the best open space wrestler in MMA, he’s actually around 40% when it comes to takedowns by and large. With that said, that’s not even his bread and butter, his entire game is built around the cage. If he gets to outside of the black lines, you’re fucked. 

 

Can Gaethje stick and move enough to make Khabib hesitant? Or will he gas in trying to do so? 

 

I have a funny feeling that this is going to go like the Poirier fight. Maybe Gaethje will stuff a few takedowns but Khabib won’t stop shooting.

GayChi's gonna gas and look like a shell of himself.  Khabib will neutralize the leg kicks.

khabib is a gross striker, but his pace is fucking Gaethje up so much. He’s drained his gas tank already.

He knew he had to, he was running away from the fence.

He did pretty good, nice low kicks, a few nice overhands.

The gas tank was a huge problem 

half way through the first he was tired

the pressure forward was a bit much but I feel his leg kicks were effective
