Charity Event a Success! Thanks!

Wow where to even start with how the weekend went!

First off if anybody wants to learn sick Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Submission Wrestling, or MMA skills you should definitely contact Marcus Aurelio, Gerald Strebendt, Aaron LaPointe, and Casey Oxendine. These guys are incredible. They have the hearts of champions, and have hearts that most martial artists never reach. They are the real deal, and are what our great sport is all about. None of them have attitudes, and get along with everybody.

The seminar was to benefit the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, and it was a blast. Smaller than the last event, but very action filled with excellent techniques. This is by far the best seminar I have ever attended.

Aaron LaPointe showed gi chokes one handed since he has a nonfunctioning arm. He is incredible, fast, and has tight chokes. He explains everything in great detail. Aaron is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt.

Casey Oxendine showed AWESOME submissions from cross body(no gi), and has very sick Jiu-Jitsu skills. His stuff is very tight, and can be adapted into anybody's everyday game. Casey is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and 3-0 in MMA.

Gerald Strebendt showed several submissions from various positions no gi, and is very technical. He goes into great depth and detail of how to do the techniques, does them very slowly so you catch all the small and tiny details. He is a brown belt under Eddie Bravo in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, UFC veteran, and professional MMA fighter.

Then of course Marcus Aurelio doesnt really need any introduction. Everybody knows who this guy is. He taught no gi submissions and related them to MMA. He did a two hour session of submissions no gi and MMA stand up with clinching, takedowns, knees, hooking the neck, and how to work them against the cage.

These guys are all very nice and respectful guys. I cant say enough good things about them. I had the honor of hanging out with Casey, Gerald, and Marcus to a great extent outside of the seminar. We had a hell of a time. You all missed one hell of a Saturday night for all you can eat chicken, and going to clubs dancing. Some of the best times ever! These guys know how to rock.

I want to thank Bill Kriegs, Madison Jiu-Jitsu Academy, Green Bay Jiu-Jitsu, my academies in Kaukauna and LaCrosse, Rob and Corey from Konquer the Kage for all helping out with this event.

Konquer the Kage and Warpath Fight Gear took care of Strebendt's airfare to get here, and if it wasnt for them this wouldnt have been possible.

I want to thank St. Judes, Ground N Pound, MMAWarehouse, Miccs Martial Arts for sponsoring the instructors with tshirts for the seminar for donating their time for this great event.

This event raised over $1,300 for the cause, and everybody that attended had one hell of a time, and even got in a half hour of rolling after the seminar with each other and instructors.

Anybody interested in the DVD of this event should email me at StJudeCharity@hotmail.com

The DVD will cost $25 for Seminar of Champions 2. If you want both copies of Seminar of Champions 1 and 2 it will only cost $40!

Thanks Everyone!

FG

congrats on your success!

thank you!

Thanks for asking me to participate Robert. It was fun meeting you and I had a great time. I just regret that I wasn't able to stick around and hang out with you guys after the seminar. Casey, Marcus, and Gerald all seemed really cool.

Glad your event went well- TTT

I knew I was forgetting somebody in my mentions so please no disrespect to anyone if I forgot to mention. I am going on 3 days of NO sleep. I am very tired and my mind isnt very profcient right now. Casey like refused to let me sleep the whole weekend.

NY San also donated a lot of really cool things as well as a matter of fact. In fact I am trying to work with them on doing an event like this in New York

congrats on your success.

congratulate the instructors. i just organized it. if it wasnt for them none of it would have been possible. I am a peon compared to them.

ok, never mind then, lol.

I was waiting to hear how it went Robert!!! I think it's a combination of things that made it successful, you being the one to arrange it & then everything coming together for a good cause!!! What a great bunch of people that helped & donated of themselves to make it happen for the kids at St. Judes.

It was a very fun time. Best seminar ever. These guys are true champions both in and outside of the martial arts.

damn, couldn't get enough money to go (and had to work)

congrats on the successful seminar (i'd like to buy the dvd)

shoot me an email at StJudeCharity@hotmail.com...I am shooting to get the DVD finished within 2 weeks! Fingers crossed.
