Cheick Kongo signs with Bellator

Bellator officials on Wednesday announced the signing of former UFC heavyweight Cheick Kongo. He will make his promotional debut in September and fight in the upcoming Bellator Season 9 Heavyweight Tournament, although his first opponent has yet to be named.

While I like watching the guy fight, this makes zero sense. No one tunes in to see him, he doesn't really draw viewers. Anyone who tunes in just to see Kongo is doing so to see if he dominates. If he dominates, it proves that Bellator is inferior. If he doesn't, it proves nothing except that signing him was a mistake. Phone Post 3.0
