Chicago Open Mat for Charity

This = Not a great idea

I take it we won't be seeing you there SD.

Most every school/instructor in the Chicago/Milwaukee/Indiana area knows who Sean is and know he's a straight up guy. If you have a problem with him hosting his second charity open mat in two years, then that's your loss.

If Sean wanted to make more money off of BJJ, he would raise his prices for his classes, cuz god knows he runs one of the most affordable gyms in the area. The couple of hundred he's going to be donating from this event won't even pay for his car payment.

Who gives a shit if someone else runs a charity for St. Judes. Is there a cap to the amount of money you can raise for them?

I have held 2 previous open mats for charity. They were focused on supporting children in need too. The first open mat proceeds went to Maryville Academy in Chicago. I caught a ton of crap for donating money to them by the way. So the next one I held was for Make-a-Wish Foundation. Here is the link to the feedback that Force JJ got from them http://www.madeyoutap.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=71&highlight=open+mat

You could contact either of these organizations regarding the open mat donation on behalf of Force Jiu Jitsu and Sean Burke. In regards to this current event you can call the St. Jude event coordinator at 1-800-567-0636 and ask about this event. Be sure and give them the phone number of the school 630-355-4100.

I never cease to be amazed at the people here who troll these threads. Donate $10, roll with your Chicago area grapplers (but your from Canada right?) and help out a kid's charity. But first step away from the keyboard.

Gee why would St. Jude's want more than 1 person to help raise money for it? Come on be real.

Cool idea and I am sure some of us Matamoros guys will be there to lend some support.

I've been to the previous open mats and will try to make it to this one if I don't have to work... ttt for sean

Sean Burke choked me out once and stole my lunch money!!!

seriously, talking shit about a charity event is a new low for this forum. and if its this forum, its gotta be pretty damn low.

Sean is all class. he doesn't need to take money from a charity. he makes enough money doing porn... or whatever it is he does for a living.

Luvmachine – give up your dreams of being a muy thai star. It's ruining your pretty face.

anybody who helps out St. Judes is a standup guy/school by me. There are dying children around the world that need help, and it is cool to see people living the martial way and giving a helping hand.

Sean, we will be there for sure. I hope a lot of people will come. I will be rolling with everyone i hope. Well maybe not with Lenny, only if you tight his hands behind his back then I will roll with him for a minute. henry matamoros

im with henry. can't we just put len in a dunk tank or something?

I was planning to ask people for an extra donation so they didn't have to have roll with Lenny!
