With our new Chinese overlords, may we soon see the return of Jeet Kune Do?
Will we finally see IP man in the Octagon?

Wing Chun for the win
Wing Chun --------> Jeet Kune Do
shit dont work thats why bruce lee quit
UFC needs Shaolin Monks and IP man. I wonder if it would really work in the Octagon though? Would be epic.
We thought karate didn't work and got proven wrong, I think It's Kung fu time. Lmao his will never happen but imagine a guy as dominant as wonderboy with a wing chun style, that would at least be funny as shit. It's a very odd thing, I used to wanna do it when I was a kid cuz I grew up on Kung fu movies, glad I didn't.

Problem is, these guys have never (and imo will never) prove their skills against a well rounded mixed martial artist.
Maybe in the future one will appear who is incredibly fast and athletic, poses problems to standup fighters because of the unorthodox nature of their movements - but even then, they better get a wrasslin onesie on and hit the mats
Donnie is the man. Love that movie.
Donnie was awesome in flash point as well. Lot of mma inspiration int the fight scenes
If a wing chun master had a strong wrestling background and learned bjj I wonder how they'd do. I watched a YouTube video that was a karate guy vs a wing chun guy and his defense and counters did look effective even though he was moving backwards. He was blocking strikes and countering but the counter strikes had zero effectiveness they were like taps because they don't put their hips or body into it. But the fight got hilarious when it hit the mat, they were clueless, dude didn't even know how to pass gaurd he just held his leg.
lorenz Larkin is always introduced as a Kung fu fighter but doesn't seem to use it which goes to show that it's not really effective. It's funny cuz when we grew up on Kung fu movies we thought that shit was deadly and that Bruce lee would kill mike Tyson with one hit. Nobody ever thought about fights hitting the ground until ufc.
Wing Chun is the past...
Wing Chun is the future...
I for one welcome our Chinese Overlords!!!!
Is IP Man some kind of cyber superhero?
serra was a wing chun guy and using wrestling in street fights anyway - before he found BJJ, according to the ufc unfiltered ep2 pod lol (about 28:35 in): http://rss.art19.com/episodes/f14345e6-cfd7-4ce2-ae2c-560e0854ad9a.mp3
"you know, I used to scrap a lot as a kid, and, and I used to do Wing Chun kung-fu with my father, but a-and, you know wha- waya familiar with win-wing chun? [punk: yea] at all? y-you know what- it looks great, I had a wooden dummy in my garage, and uh, I'd be doin some, uh combat drills with my father- Sticky Hands and.. anytime I got into a street altercation, I'd end up tackling a guy, or puttin hiz head into my knee, an- bre- I was just a-a natural grappler, an-and the win- it just wouldn't work for me. I'd start with a chain punch an I'd end up double-legging a guy"
