Chris Byrd: I would rather fight Tyson over Wilder

2x Heavyweight Champion of the World Chris Byrd (Beat Klitschko and Evander Holyfield):

Other quotes from the interview:

"Deontay Wilder is one of the most dangerous boxers in the history of the sport."

"What he has in him is just scary."

"I know a big heavyweight that sparred with Wilder for a camp, he told me ‘it ended my career’."

Parker vs Wilder would be a great scrap .

I'm a huge fan of Deontay, his nickname should be bad intentions, I swear when he  has some one rocked..watch out

Lol Chris byrd beat a washed up holyfield and klitschko injured his shoulder and had to retire on his stool for that fight.

But anyway, tyson or wilder both knock him out anyway.

Chris was pretty slick, he would of given Tyson 2.0 a good fight.

2.0 is after jail

Zelenoff made pretty quick work of Wilder so I'm not too sure about these comments.

i watched that video too. Good video.   All these youtube channels have really enlivened the sport.  Like ES news fight hub,  fight hype, IFL, behind the gloves.  Way better than the days where the braodcaster would show you a a couple of video montages.

No mention of Boxing legends TV !!!

he would have made post jail tyson look silly. 'prime' tyson would have ran through him like ibeabuchi did.

the style byrd fought in, wilder would have killed him. tyson would have been a good match up

the fight i wanted to see when roy went up to heavy was him and byrd. byrd would have embarrased him

I think Byrd would have beaten Tyson(post prison). People forget he beat David Tua, and actually hurt Tua to the body. Byrd was real good. People give him way too much shit. I know I was one of only a few, but I wanted to see Byrd vs James Toney. The two most skilled heavyweights at one point when the fight was discussed. They were both slick boxers, but had very different styles. I'd have favored Toney, but it would have been a close fight.

Seriously. That would have been great.

Which Tyson?

Tyson when Jacobs/Rooney were still around would beat both of them.

90’s Tyson was more of a head hunter. Dangerous still – but most big skilled HWs should feel confident in that matchup.

I watched them fight on the same card in Reno. Toney beat Dominick Guinn, and in the absolute worst fight that I ever paid to watch live Byrd moved around and posed for 12 rounds with Davarryl Williamson.  The hidden gym on the card was a young skinny Filipino named Nonito Donaire who nearly decapitated some poor Mexican guy.
