Randomly popped up on the front page of YouTube for me. Not familiar with the podcast host, but had to give it a chance since it was both of these two on there together.
It’s basically an interview with Chuck, while the main guy and Rampage are co-hosts.
A couple of random notes in case anyone sees the length of the video being over 90 minutes and is skeptical.
I have a horrible attention span and usually don’t give a lot of stuff a chance…I’m 15 minutes in and besides making this post, I don’t think I’ll stop it again and will end up listening to all of it tonight.
A few random stories/tidbits, in case anyone is still on the fence.
Chuck tells a story about going to Hackleman’s place for the first time to train. He ends up sparring him with boxing rules only and Chuck said it was his first time not using kicks. Hackleman beats his ass for 20 minutes and then when they are done, Chuck is about to get back on his motorcycle to head home. It’s pouring rain and Hackleman asks him a couple of times if he’s gonna come back. When Chuck tells him he’ll be back to train, he tosses Chuck the keys to his new truck to drive home so he doesn’t get wet.
Chuck shared a car to the airport with Kevin Randleman after knocking him out. Later on, ended up in his corner the night he knocked out Crocop.
Rampage said Tito taught him “the wall walk” and told him that him and Chuck came up with it. Rampage told Chuck it saved him in a fight a couple of times.
This interview flows really well, as all of that stuff was only in the first 15 minutes.
The main dude barely speaks and him and Rampage are very good about letting Chuck speak and not interrupting him, like many other hosts do.
Awesome so far. Haven’t listened to something this cool in a long time. Excited to hear the rest.
For context, Tito had just been on this podcast the week prior pretty much making it sound like he took Chuck off the streets, let him sleep on his couch and taught him everything he knew about fighting
Seems like he might pretend to be oblivious about certain stuff, in order to let Rampage or Chuck educate the listener…Actually works really well if that is the case.
Dude really does let them do the talking and only chimes in when necessary.
Seems like the complete opposite of many obnoxious podcasters out there.
Rampage returns the favor and gets Chuck to crack up, while telling a story about wanting to pull his wang out in the sauna while cutting weight for Sakuraba.
I discovered it about a month ago. I have listened to it a few times since then, depending on who they have on. I listened to the BJ, Tito and Chuck episodes in full and probably bits of a few other episodes. Yeah it’s really good.
I don’t know the host but from watching I get the feeling that he goes back a long time with some of the fighters (especially Rampage and Tito), possibly as a sponsor or something.
You’re definitely right; As I got further along, he mentioned going to a club with Chuck a while back and Chuck stepping in and fucking some dude up that was messing with him.
I guess the host (named Bear Degidio) owns a jewelry company called Jaxxon. Within that company is a podcast network called Jaxxon podcasts.
The Jaxxon network has multiple podcasts, all hosted by Bear Degidio and someone else. Their MMA podcast (called Fade on Site) is co-hosted by Rampage.
The YouTube channel posts all the podcasts without really specifying what they are so you need to look at the titles to tell which is Rampage’s.
