They may as well call the super bowl that. There isn't another country that cares about american football. Nor is there a team outside of the NFL that could beat the super bowl champs. Now if they called the MLS title that I would take exception.

It is simply pathetic of the thread starter not to have the intelligence to debate MMA without trying to bash an entire nation. It simply rings of jealousy. Grow up dude. For the others on here, the facts are America is the richest nation in the world (GDP), has 3rd largest population, and is the most influential...none of those things are really up for debate. They are simply facts - learn to read and research a little instead of showing the world your ignorance.

Now, to claim that Saku or Wandi are better than Chuck is just funny to me. Do you know anything about MMA? Saku is done. Wandi never was as good as Chuck and his recent fights show there is no comparison. Personally I don't like watching Fedor, but he I respect him as a fighter and understand where that arguement comes from.
Now, for the played out boring arguement that Chuck was protected from the guys in Pride...what a freaking joke! Pride nuthuggers love to talk about the fight with Rampage as eveidence. But Chuck went to Pride 3 times and is 2-1.
How many guys from Pride came to the UFC to compete? How many title defenses do the Pride guys have compared to non-title fights? How many times do Pride champs fight much smaller opponents? Sounds to me like Pride has done a much better job of trying to protect there champs than the UFC.
What's Wandi done against the UFC guys? 1-2 with loses to Belfort and Ortiz (Chuck defeated both guys). Shogun got beat by Babalu, another guy Chuck has beat 2x. Nuthuggers cry well those happened along time ago but Chuck's fight with Rampage was in 2003! How have the all high and mighty Pride guys done against the UFC recently? CroCop KO'ed, Herring got beat in his debut, Diaz beats Gomi, Trigg is undefeated in Pride, etc. Pride was never as superior as some folks try to claim. Find a new arguement and this time try to find one supported by facts.
Oh BTW, JrAsparagus, to be a professional, it means you get paid for a career. So my friend, who gets paid to fight in different organizations, would be considered a professional fighter. kthx.
