I've been trying to bulk up so I have been eating a lot along with a weight lifting routine, and I have been experiencing a good amount of stomach bloating, like the Chuck Liddell six pack gut. Is there anyway to combat this? I figured maybe doing cardio, but would that not hurt my attempt to gain weight?
I'm not saying that Chuck is on Growth Hormone, but a protruding gut is pretty common among bodybuilders who inject the stuff. I believe that it makes the internal organs grow as well as the muscles.
Of course it could just be age plus lack of conditioning plus the partying lifestyle (and yes, he could still knock my block off 5 seconds after falling off the couch after his latest bender).
Intra-abdominal fat can make your gut stick out. If you're taking in a surplus of energy then you might just be building up a little fat inside the abdomen (around the organs etc) and you can loose it later.
Chuck also has a serious curve to his spine (Lordosis?). If that's your problem then look into your posture, check out the Neanderthal No More series on T-nation.
I'm a lean guy: 5'10 160lbs so it looks pretty crappy to have a bloated stomach. It seems everytime I drink or eat it blows up.
I have a fairly protruding gut, and even had it back when i was a 130lb teenager. Some people just have it more than others, and there's not too much that can be done about it.
When you are very lean (if this is the case) then every time you eat you will notice your cut sticking out. But, after the meal has passed it should subside.

same here.
Not sure if you supplement with Glutamine but I've noticed that when I take it frequently or high doses of it I constantly have a bloated feeling.
It's just how some people store fat. I have never touched a drug in my life yet, I had very little fat on the topside of my abs but had a protruding gut.
Couple of the things I did were 1) Sucking in your stomach and tightening it to strengthen the muscles that hold it in, and 2) I noticed that when I cut out processed carbs and stuck to fruit/vegetables the weight I lost was mainly the "inner gut" area and was less protruding.
Accept it. And if you are losing your hair, shave your head.
