Chuck Zito's book (from HBO's OZ)

Chuck is a former amateur boxer, president of the Hells Angels, has 6 black belts, and worked as a bodyguard for the celebs and spent 6 years in prison before landing his gig on the HBO miniseries OZ.

I read his book "Street Justice" which is a very good book about his life experiences on the street. This guy is for real and lives by his own code. It is good reading! I would rate this book a 10. Check it out.

Michael Arsanis

chucks a cool dude.

Yeah theats him. He is a good , kind, humble motherfucker too. A real
fan of the sport and old school badass.

He kicked the crap out of Jean Claude Van Damme too!

"He kicked the crap out of Jean Claude Van Damme too!"

More like he suckerpunched Van Damme to avoid an actual fight, but that's besides the point.

He dragged him to a back room at scores and pounded him I heard.

The story I heard is that Chuck confronted JCVD in the bathroom of Scores about some smack JCVD was spreading about him.

Later on, they got into another confrontation, this time at a table/booth with JCVD sitting down and Zito standing.

Apparently, they agreed to fight. As JCVD was taking off his glasses and preparing to get out of the table/booth, Zito pounded him and the fight was broken up before anything got serious.

I've also heard that Zito respected JCVD's fighting skills enough that he wanted to get the jump on him before JCVD got any room to throw down.

Sounds like a smart move to me.

Sounds like a coward to me.

It's not bad, but you get the sense that this guy's best stories are the ones he can't talk about.

LOL @ DA Swede

"Sounds like a coward to me."

People outside of New York and even people in New York that know nothing about "The Underworld" have no idea how much power Zito actually has. If you wronged him or any of his associates you'd have no choice but to deal with him. His connections with the mob and obviously with the Hell's Angels are very tight. Not only that he is physically an animal - he's probably one of the last people in this country that you'd want a problem with. I know several people that have had to deal with him directly to settle problems they've had.

Zito's words:
some guy approached Van Damme and asked him for an autograph in the bathroom and mentioned they had a mutual friend who was Chuck Zito. Van Damme laughed and said Zito had no heart. So this told Zito about and wondering why he wastes his time with Van Damme. (Zito used to be Van Damme's his bodyguard). So Van Damme is getting a lap dance and Zito pulld his chair next to Van Damme and asked the dancer to leave. Van Damme takes off his glasses and the two are leaning close to one another face to face.

....
Zito: You tell Frankie I had not heart?

VD: Uh-huh.

Zito:Why would you say that?

VD: Beacuase your full of shit.

"shocked, I reached out and grabbed him by the arm"
Zito: Did you say I'm full of shit?

VD: No...I said your FUCKING full of shit!
"and with that I hit him-twice. A straight right and a left hook. Bam-bam! jean-Claude's chair flipped over and backward, and he landed in the lap of my friend Kevin Lubic. As Jean-Claude tried to scramble to his feet, I started screaming at him.
"You fuckin' scumbag! I got not heart? You got no heart! This aint the movies, asshole; this is the street. And I own the fucking street!"

I hit him twice with everything I had. Jean-Claude barely even tried to fight back. He just tried to shield himself. When he covered his head, I hit him in the body. When he covered his body, I hit him in the face.it went on like that for about 30 seconds, until the bouncers jumped in...

Seems to me like if you act tough and lean into someone's face like you wanna brawl then you better be ready. VD got what he deserved.

Apparently there was some friction between Zito and Van Damme when he worked for him. Zito says he is the only celeb he bodyguarded for that there was a problem with. Apparently VD acted like people owed him the world and was arrogant and treated people poorly.

the guys a thug, lets build a statue for him

TTT

he wasn't president of the hells angels, he went on howard stern a couple years ago just to straighten that out. he said then he is a member but not president. he went on the show because he was told to do so.

another good book about a thug/martial artist is "street soldier" by eddie mackenzie, a hit man for whiteys bulgers irish mob in south boston.

the guy is very entertaining and in addition to stong arm stuff he is probably the greatest con artist boston has ever produced. you can still read about him in the paper sometimes. his last one was this amazing $50,000,000.00 real estate deal that wouldn't have beleived in a work of fiction, but he realy pulled it off.

he used some of his money to create what was in some ways the most "well equipped" martial arts school in the country :)

I have no doubt that Chuck would have mopped the floor with Van Damme if it a straight up fight, but I also read that JC was totally F'd up on coke and booze that night.

I'm not sure if he's "cleaned up", but Van Damme certainly appeared to be getting big time into the Hollywood Vice Life.

Michael Arsanis has it exactly correct.

PS-I just saw Chuck a couple of days ago.
