Cigar Noob

All:

In honor of my son's birth, my step-father, who is a cigar freak, sent me a "starter kit" if you will. Since I know next to nothing about cigars, I figured I'd come here seeking your infinite wisdom concerning my stash.

I have a basic desktop humidor, cohibas, opus x, rocky patel (sun grown & royal vintage), maker's mark, king havano, ITC split and gurkha titans.

I realize everyone has their own cigar preferences/likes/dislikes. So for a cigar noob who is considering turning this into a hobby, any info on the above cigars that you can provide is much appreciated.

cheers

You have  a decent variety. Smoke a couple a  day when you can and write down the flavours and thoughts you are getting. Also, if they are different sizes, note which you are more comfortable with. Seems like you got mostly mid-strength cigars, so you shouldn't have to worry about getting knocked over with strength. Get smokin! Salud!
