clerkship starts today: advice?

i'm heading off to my first day as a trial-level state court law clerk. I'd
really appreciate any advice, especially from practicing attorneys who
deal with clerks frequently. what are your biggest peeves about clerks?

sometimes they add two sugars instead of three.

Hey, I thought the attorneys needed to get on your good side, not the other way around.

I clerked for a criminal trial judge my first year out of law school, it was a great experience. Got to spend most of the year working on a death penalty case and watched the whole trial.

Just do your job, don't argue with the judge, and you'll be fine. Remember that judges are used to getting their way and also are usually set in their ways. Don't try to change anything, just flow with the go.
