Cleveland (TN) Jiu-jitsu Academy is expanding -MMA

Cleveland Jiu-jitsu Academy is expanding. We are joining together with Hard Knock's Boxing Academy and Predator fight team to start the first true MMA gym in Cleveland, TN. Although there are other gyms that may exist, we are the first with experienced instructors. Mike Lewis has been coaching boxing for more that 20 years. The jiu-jitsu instructor is a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and has been training in jiu-jitsu since 1985. We will be hosting Soneca Moreira for seminars and maybe Samuel Braga and other instructors. We know that we will have a wrestling coach shortly and kickboxing will follow. The academy should open next week after some cleaning and some set up.

Stay tuned for more details . . .

Where's it going to be at? I train in Athens now and would be interested in switching to a true MMA gym instead of just BJJ. What's the schedule going to look like?

Best of luck to you guys.Joe is a great guy and instructor.

So funny to see this thread.  Cleveland MMA has closed.  First, it moved to 450 Broad Street, SW, and became Cleveland Jiu-Jitsu Academy.  Then, that was purchased by Samuel Braga.

The Predator MMA and Hard Knocks boxing academy went their own ways when a BJJ black belt showed up and starte teaching - Tommy Wales.  Ancient history.
