I've been watching this guy's YouTube channel he lives in Japan and makes all kinds of cool hornet traps to protect his bee hives.  They should hire him as a consultant here lol.

The thing is that it takes like 100 bees to kill one giant hornet whereas a group of 50 giant hornets could decimate an entire bee hive.
