i just made one using some instructions i got online, problem is it only came out to weight about 12lbs,is this heavy enough?what is the ideal weight it should be to get the maximum benefits?I assume whatever one can handle without undue strain?
ttt
i just saw a vid on youtube on those. those would be sick to work on wrist and grip strength. how did you make em'?
pretty easy actually.just bought a plastic bat from the dollar store cut the top open, put a piece of maybe 5 inch reed bar through the center to reinforce the handle then filled it up with gravel, ducked taped it back closed then painted it black.
i'm off tomorrow so i'm gonna make a couple more, experiment with different stuff to fill it with and how i can make it heavier, tho i do strain just bit with this 12lb one
sick. i wanna get a hold of some bowling pins now and give it a shot. i don't know exactly how much they weigh but i know they're pretty heavy.
I would think you could get a wood bat, wrap some leg weights around the end and duct tape the shit out of it.
We have a set of clubbells at my gym, but I've never seen anyone touch them.
If you tape weights to the end of the pole it is more like a sledgehammer than clubbell.
That's not a bad thing, just slightly different.
12lbs isn't too bad. The standard weight for the majority of exercises is 15lbs. If you're already a strong guy to start with 12lb might be too light, but otherwise its a pretty good starting point.
good deal i dont name the of the exercises as i'm new to clubbelss but doing rotations isnt so bad but i stress a little doin the "swipe".Anyway heres the link i used
