Coach: Conor did zero wrestling, knee injured

So no wrestling, no sparring and his knee was injured? So i guess if he actually prepared he would murder frankie right?

Why not call him out in the meantime while aldo is out? Phone Post 3.0

chaplinshouse - That's true, Conor gets credit for plowing forward no hesitation with opponent change. if it were Bones he'd have said "i need a full camp! fuck everybody cancel the event!" and Bones was doing that over Chael, someone he matched up ridiculously well against.

Comparing Jones with Conor is ridiculous. Jones managed to defend his championships nearly 10 times straight, Conor doesn't have a championship.

irrelevant

*they were both main events

*they both had a last second replacement due to injury

*they both gave the non injured fighter a choice. dick tuck or have confidence and fight anyone anywhere

thus comparable.

Conor is cool, but geesh you guys think hes God and stuff.

Hes in a stage where hes proving himself. Of course hes going to do anything and everything to get ahead. Jon Jones doesn't have to prove himself. He was just being a cautious fighter. UFC champ is a big title that comes with a gigantic paycheck. If you were making that much money I'm sure you wouldn't want to F it up either.

I'm not quite on Outlaw's level i don't think he's a God just yet lol

I couldn't disagree more. Ask yourself this: who do you think Zuffa values more right now? Bones or Conor? Exactly. Conor needs no proving at this point in time to Zuffa. He's the precious ring and his bosses are Gollum, in total awe of him

If anything Bones has a bigger obligation as a champ to go on. If you're really #1 it doesn't matter who they throw in. BUT... they threw in a guy that was an EASY win for Bones and he still let an event die. Conor @189 would have still left a quality card behind with a pull out, he is NOT in "prove yourself" mode with Zuffa, they will ride that pony till the end.

I truly don't think it'd have played out any different if Conor was in Jon's scenario. It's a matter of principle, some guys have it, some don't. Conor has the type of character and belief in himself where he'd have forged on.

Jones F'd himself up with dumb decisions. But fighting wise and UFC wise... hes at the top and has defended his belt multiple times. He doesn't have to prove himself to get paid... he already was getting paid and living the life.  This was a testament moment for conor. He has pretty much secured himself a legacy now all that stands in his way is Jose Aldo. And he will go down written in peoples minds as a UFC champ.  Jon jones is already there. He could probably still pull more numbers than Conor I think even after his comeback from doing all the mess he has done. I feel most sorry for jon jones family. Having to look at them day to day after what he did and puting their futures in jepoardy as well

Frankie isn't going anywhere.

No reason to do any other fight before Aldo. Phone Post 3.0

I have a feeling we'll see this:

Conor vs. Aldo (w/Urijah as backup in case Aldo dips)

Frankie vs. Chad

btfos -
Mhorad - The fight could have gone either way, just like a fight at that level should be able to go. Connor got the win, but Mendes showed he has the potential to win.

Would love to see a rematch.

What makes you say it could have gone either way? Conor stuffing 3 of 7 of Mendes' takedowns? Conor getting up from evey completed takedown? Conor savagely picking Mendes apart on the feet, signigificantly out striking him by the numbers, ROCKING him SEVERAL times to the body and head, and scoring a TKO? "Has the potential to win" ...yeeeah LOL..Conor was the significantly smater more skilled striker and the more efficient grappler. No matter what Mendes did, Conor adjusted and one upped him. At no point was Conor not in control of the fight or in any real danger. I wonder how many of you Conor destractors watched the fight with rational or sober minds. Truly is pathatic.

I swear btfos ONLY posts any time he needs to defend McGregor in some way.

Outlaw'd by Lytle - Conor is the ultimate fighting machine.

Pain? Injury? What fucking pain, what fucking injury? He's here to fight.

None of this:

"Waaaaaaaaaaah my rib!!"

"Waaaaaaaaaaah my short camp"

"Waaaaaaaaaaah poor me"

Just turns up, fights and annihilates. Phone Post 3.0
This.. People might not like his shit talk, but you absolutely have to respect his mentality and willingness to fight under any circumstances. So many others play it safe. Hes taken every challenge put in front of him. True warrior! Phone Post 3.0

Conor keeps on growing on me!! Phone Post 3.0

I got an English buddy said he knows a friend that trains with Bisping, and they knew that Connor had hurt his knee before the fight. He ended up betting on Chad because of it. Suffice to say, he was not happy after the fight ended.

I think this is a great post from conor's coach.

if its all true, i'd say conor has lived up to the hype

bones took shogun on real short notice.

it's easy when u have not much to lose and or are the challenger... when giving an opportunity you don't earn or deserve of course most will except it.

was conor gonna say "no thanks, let frank and chad fight for the fake belt you guy are making for me."?.. Frankie is the number 2 guy and any fake ass championship belt fight they wanna make should have been giving to him.

if he truly likes challenges lets see if he excepts Frankie's...if aldo cant go before the years end.

i was not impressed w his performance.

chad vs cub.

frankie vs con if aldo cant go.

I had the same info and really wanted to drop money on Mendes. Had trouble getting the money deposited into the sportsbook, so let it go. I got lucky. Would have never considered betting against him otherwise and never will again. Phone Post 3.0
