First off I would like to thank Marcus Soares, Dennis Kang, Norm Millross, Todd Smith, Trevor Clarkson, Gary Herman, Cody Dillman, and the Burnaby Judo Club for bringing down your students and supporting our 1st Invitational Tourney. I would also like to thank the fans that came out to support these competitors. There were some great matches and I'm sure by everyones response that they were truely entertained. The grappling community on the West Coast is definately growing and finally coming together to help each other progress in a friendly atmosphere of competition. Look forward to June 2004. We already have some sponsors on board for a huge tourney with Brown Belt and Black Belt Super Fights. Hopefully all Canadian grapplers can make it out to Vancouver for this yearly event.
