I could google this, but I don’t feel like it… how exactly are those numbers calculated. For example, I NEVER watch Bellator live. I DVR every single one, then if I am home I will start it about 2/3’s into the event so I can skip all commercials and any fight that starts to bore me and be caught up to watch the last fight or two live. Sometimes I watch the next day. Either way, is a DVR considered a view? Surely there are other MMA fans like me that set their DVR to catch them all?
My biggest issue with Bellator was always 2 parts… 1, I didn’t care for Jimmy Smith’s announcing (and now he is in the UFC lol) and I also hated how they act like Bellator fighters are the best in the world. I get it, they are promoting their brand… but for the most part, they are a clear number two. Don’t tell me someone is the best… be honest. Even if you say “one of the best” that’s a whole lot better to me.
I have been enjoying the product alot better with Goldberg, even more so when Chael is in the booth with him. I absolutely can’t fucking stand Anik, Jimmy, or Florian. I know I’m in the minority with that, but whatever.
Funny how people were acting like Bellator was going to take over the UFC. Maybe Paramount will finally ditch Bellator and get in on the bidding for UFC content.

Everybody assumes that the UFC has all the best fighters, and at this point they likely do have most of them. But consider this; When the UFC folded the WEC into its ranks, the top fighters from every division in the WEC that had a counterpart in the UFC were competitive in the UFC, and even dominated the ranks of lightweight, which was considered one of UFC’s strongest divisions. Hell, Cowboy Cerrone is one of the top ranked fighters in a higher division than he was in when he came into the UFC, after spending years at the top of the heap at LW.
Sad to see. I think Bellator is great for fighter to test free agency and who are on the tail end of their careers to cash out on fun fights. MMA is a tough businesss to make money on.
They dont promote. Bellator is great but they really suck at promoting. Havent heard about Mousasi since he fought and told everybody to get in line and suck it.

What you are doing with your dvr is referred to by Nielsen as time shifting. You are shifting the time that you watch the tv show. Nielsen is able to account for that in their ratings.
Those aren’t bad numbers when you consider how much promotion they do. I can’t think of a time when I’ve seen a Bellator commercial other than right before, during or just after a show. My YouTube feed doesn’t have 20 different interview videos.

can confirm(not supposed too), just did that survey in feb
Ive been having issues wlth the network switch( from spike to paramount ) I was waiting to watch it, but paramount didn't have it on until 9 for the west coast feed. I checked my bets around 8 and realized it was already over. The Sonnen/Rampage card wasn't even listed on my guide as being shown on paramount that weekend.
these sorts of posts are why OP gets so much shit here. It's cool to provide insight and info, but constantly shitting on the competition and gloating when they falter just makes you look like a dick. (which is probably his intention anyway - it's entertaining..)
