Dana said at one of the recent press conferences that Colby has been ready to fight for a while, that he has agreed to several fights which didn’t happen for one reason or another.

Didn’t UFC want to book Covington vs Chimaev? So who has been holding that fight up?
For one reason or another… Chimaev has not fought in eight months after he entered the UFC as the most active fighter in the promotion and is now one of the less active. He has to have injury issues.

The winner of Burns Khamzat was supposed to fight Colby on the ABC card. But Masvidal ruined that by his sneak attack

You figure he would have wanted to get a fight before Ramadan started though. For a guy who wants to grab the WW and then the MW titles… he is already 28 and about to turn 29 and is only 12-0 in MMA and 6-0 in the UFC.
Guarantee he don’t want ten or twelve months between fights while he is right here in his prime.

If I were Kamaru or Leon, and the fighter pulled out, No way in hell im taking colby on 24 hour notice after not even being told he was there as a fill in
