Coldfusion database question

I haven't worked with Coldfusion database before. I use PHP and MySQL for my stuff. I have a couple of questions. I want to redevelop a Coldfusion site into PHP/MySQL and am looking to migrate their CF db into MySQL.

1) How do you administrate your Coldfusion db? Is there a DB management client built within the Cold Fusion app? Is there an webbased DB admin tool similar to PHP MyAdmin?

2) I have the cfm.mdb file. Is there a *simple* way to get this into my new MySQL db?

3) Can Access open that cfm.mdb file?

and insight into CF would be helpful!

You set up your Cold Fusion data sources through the Cold Fusion administrator. However, I don't think this is what you're looking for.

Since the file you're working with is a .mdb file, that is an MS Access database. You can just download it and work with it like you would any other Access database.

To import directly from Access to MySQL, I'd use something like navicat.com - Otherwise, you might have to convert everything to text first, but I'm not positive about that.

you are correct, it WAS an Access file.

I am investigatinmg how to import an Access db into MySQL
