ryan, these are not finalized at all that's why he said "perspective". i think he meant "tentative" but thats why bob runs a martial arts school and not a private tutoring business.
hopefully those fights will work out.
does shonie post here
ttt
shonie has an account but he only posts on rare occasians. but when he does IT'S USUALLY ALL IN CAPS!
Timmy either way I missed the key word. It would be a great fight though
I found out Henry and Clay both didn't know about this, it's on thing to announce a fight that both parties agree to. But it's wrong to list your dream card and not have any confirmations.
"But it's wrong to list your dream card and not have
any confirmations. "
it would be wrong if he said that this was definitely
happening, but he didn't. he never said it was
confirmed. hence "perspective".
but damn, that fight would rule. it would be hard to
tell what was going on with all the hair.
For whatever it's worth....
Clay Guida is on the verge of cracking the top 15 at www.mmaranks.com which provides fighters with a fair opportunity to have their achievements recognized.
In the past, fighters like Kevin Jordan, Terry Martin, Ansar Chalangov, Jonathan Goulet, Jon Fitch and many more have made the list, and subsequently went on to compete in the UFC.
With no implied guarantees or anything, I can tell you that Dana White and Joe Silva know about the mmaranks.com lists.
Anyway, to the point...
With all due respect to Henry Matamoros, his recent outings do not put him in a place where beating him would be of benefit to Clay Guida. This is not to say that the match would be one-sided or unexciting.
What I'm saying is, the match does not provide an opportunity to both fighters to enhance their profile... essentially setting up a lose/lose situation for Clay.
Obviously not all of these people are available, but the fighters that WILL provide Clay with something to gain, (while having something to gain themselves), are:
Aurelio, Marcus (160)
Edwards, Yves (155)
Hansen, Joachim (153)
Sakurai, Hayato (160)
Sudo, Genki (154)
Huerta, Roger (155)
Boku, Koutetsu (154)
Clementi, Rich (156)
Kawajiri, Tatsuya (155)
Ruediger, Gabe (155)
Cavalcanti, Gesias (155)
Crane, Alberto (155)
Kaku, Kaynan (155)
Stout, Sam (155)
Takaya, Hiroyuki (154)
Weems, Wayne (160)
Pulver, Jens (150)
Diniz, Edson (155)
Gardner, David (155)
You're right with the perspective Timmy, I just re-read it, my bad. It would be a great fight.
there is no point thinking ufc.they are too small
They may be too small for UFC divisions right now, but you might as well think positive and prepare for any future changes.
And the worst that will happen is he would gain exposure for another great show like Euphoria or TKO, or even Pride.
true true true
Clay is fighting Bart in a huge show on the 18th so he is out and Henry wants to get ready for the Arnolds so he is out.I mentioned this fight to both of these guys in the past so they both knew I was thinking about trying to get it done. The perfect setting for this match-up wil probably be the Battle on the Beach some time in June in Chicago.I'm working on getting either Oak Street Beach or North ave Beach. This fight will happen its just a matter of when!
