looks great! What is the foundations of your breathing method – all self-discovered? Looks a bit like stuff developed from Sonnon’s RMAX material.

Started BJJ in the Ninetees. Like many of us choke was the first inspiration to think about breathing.

Started Yoga around 2000 was fun but didn´t helped me much for real rolling and fighting.

Later I trained with Alex Kostic who is an amazing martial artist doing his unique of russian martial arts.

That changed my understanding for breathing under pressure a lot.

Later I met Ark who influenced me also a lot (less breathing more movement wise)

I am very much into internal martial arts besides my BJJ but I always try to implement it into a real BJJ / MMA / Self Defense context.

Also trained with Steve Maxwell who studied different breathing systems and is a 5th degree Blackbelt in BJJ.

The language of my DVD will be plain practical englisch. I will use simple explainations of how breathing can be used for fighting.

The DVD will be out at Budovideos.com and we plan a free Webinar where I will introduce the basics of this method.

Zero1, what is that Ark guy about? Looks interesting.

Ark is amazing. It is pretty dificult to describe what he is doing you have to feel him but he is very very special.....

Imagine the guy weights 64 kilos small guy good shape for his age but 64 kilo is not much.

He can throw you around like nothing he has a stability and a certain kind of movement that is absolutly crazy.

He was doing Kickboxing in his youth and he is now even trying a little bit of BJJ but what make him special is his movement ability and power generation.

He changed his body to a degree that is unbelivable. Imagine him like a thick Rubber Tube that has elastic tension that let him explode with little effort.

I love BJJ and even after 25 years I am into the technical applications but Ark gave me the motivation to change my body structure and work with a different mechanic. That´s something I follow now for 7 years…

I went to Tokyo for 10 days to train Judo, but I also made a special trip out to meet Ark and train with him, as I’d heard about him. What he could do was bizarre - I remember him standing on one leg, holding a staff. I held the other end of the staff, pressed, shoved, and i could not budge him. Another guy grabbed the staff with me – both of us pushing could not make him move. I would never have believed it, if I hadn’t experienced for myself. Then he offered me to put on a standing waki-gatame, but somehow I couldn’t finish it – he just effortless uncoiled his arm/body, until i was being controlled. For sure there are still some martial arts secrets. Ark is one guy figuring it out and teaching it in public. Mike Sigman is another.

It is a long road to get these skills but I belive it is possible once you have a foot in the doorstep. That is the hardest part.

This is the kind of thing that always keeps me coming back to training...

A really interesting thing happend during a training with me. Ark grabbed myT-Shirt (regular T-Shirt) and throw me to the ground with just one hand.

Later I was thinking if he would have used normal strength my shirt would just have ripped. But the way he was doing it he tricked my nervous sytem and make me fall. He did that with many people. I remember him throwing a big BJJ student of mine who never moved much and was kind of bulky chubby. Ark threw him like nothing even he is just 64 kilo and the guy has around kilos (like myself)
