I thought that it was pretty silly that "the Crow" just dodged and ducked and dove and dipped and dodged the whole time.....
How could Joe Rogan and sidekick (or anyone) say he was a true warrior....He was chased down most of the fight and then to top it off he was also caught many times and beat up and battered (with a seriously injured - maybe broken - left hand)...like a running punching bag...a very unimpressive fight for the crow and Rich Franklin keeps getting more of my respect each fight....big props to Rich !
due to the allowance of kicks, knees, elbows and punches, running away in mma is really akin to dancing/sidesteping away in boxing, which doesn't register on the "silly" meter...
whatever is effective in there and within the rules, to me, is spirit enough...
p.s. the word warrior should never be associated with a sport fighter...
Rich Franklin is a bad man and as much as it bugged me that Loiseau didn't stand there and bang away with Rich, you know the only thing that would have happened would have been an inevitable KO for Franklin. Loiseau I'm sure knew this and created the distance he needed to survive. Tanner backpedaled from Franklin too and he didn't make it to the fifth round. Looking at Loiseau's face last night when the doctors asked if he could continue summed it up for me, the question "Do you want to continue, can you continue?" the answer "Yes sir!". The Crow has heart and stuck it out to the very end and proved why he's a top lvl fighter. He was beaten but not broken at the end of the fight and now knows what it will take to climb the montain to the MW title in the UFC.
Not the best fight of the night but a lot of respect to both fighters!
My point is....throw your weapons...elbows...be more creative and not just a punching bag...
My opinion Louisseau was mentally and spiritually beaten...if you get a chance to watch it again...u will see it in his face....outwitted and Franklin basically imposed his will and more on him...
I give it to the French Canadians for being incredibly stubborn and hard-headed ....and I actually say that as a compliment...that is why he continued...it's in his nature ...
Rich just laid a beating...and Louisseau was there to receive it...
...but in all fairness, I do still give Louisseau props for hanging in as long as he did...just would have liked to have seen him fight more.... peace

Dude, I couldn't agree more. I think Rich beat him up and frustrated badly in the first round. Loiseau looked completely lost after that. Everyone in the bar cheered when Loiseau scored the knockdown, because they were faithfully rooting for the fellow Canadian. But at that point I didn't think he deserved to win.
