Comped Tickets = booing Audience!

Zuffa has to stop giving away tickets to non fans for gambling. This is the best way to get rid of the boo's and will hurt the growth of the sport if not stopped.

They can fill a casino.

it's those people that are buying tickets for 8,000 from scalpers that are booing...

Goku is entirely correct--

They should recognize people who go above and beyond as well, like Ruledogg, Ray Jackson, Goku himself, and in a different way, guys like Fred Ettish. Announce and publicize. People will compete for things like this (though they won't admit it). More discussion, more hype, more free advertising.

Great PR. They will talk to friends, family, etc.

Comping tickets doesn't lead to booing IMO, it just leads to more "suits" type people who have a greater likelihood of being disinterested (just there to say they went).

people were booing the empty seats, not the fights.

Like i stated 3 weeks ago. 59 was no where near sold out. Don't EVER buy into the hype.

Anywhere between 1,500 - 3,000 + tickets were comps.

Mace Call Dean Lohuis tomorrow and ask him what the gate was. Chief Athletic Inspector for California http://www.dca.ca.gov/csac/.

:)

Will do--

Thanks

Still working on your info. as well. Hopefully I get some good stuff.

I went to the building the night of the fight. There were no tickets available. The best I could do was a $3,500 offer from one scalper.

If you weren't there in front the night of the show, please don't tell me it wasn't sold out.

i bought 4 tickets at the ticket booth after the weigh ins, who ever told u it was sold out was a liar ! they announced it at the weigh ins that they had alot of tickets left and the scalpers wee selling htem for real cheap i dunno nething about 3500 . also i no alot of people who bought tickets same day the most i heard for section 2 tickets was like 300 alot of money but no were near thousands

If a ticket broker buys 100 tickets but is unable to sell them, those tickets are still "sold" even if nobody sits in those seats.

The tickets have been paid for, the arena and UFC have their money.

George getting it again.

Good point, but tix were available through Ticketmaster still.

You got ripped off. I bought a floor ticket from razorgator for 195 bucks at 6pm after the weigh in's. I still have my receipt and ticketfast ticket in my inbox if you want me to prove it.

I listed my extra 100 seat for 20 bucks on razorgator and no takers. As of that morning before I left. Still some floor and good $400 lower level seats were going for face value or less than face, even for doubles.

I disagree.

The comped tickets I know of go to lots of gym owners and those usually go to students and fighters. Hardly to the idiot booers. Now I am sure a lot go to the gamblers and rich drunks - but is that really where all the comps go? No, not all of them.

And I don't just blame the comps. A lot of fight fans are booing. Mainly because they are drunk.

booing audience = a$$holes who have never trained or competed.

George I bought $200 face value ticket for $150 at the box office at 4.30 on Sat...

LOL Ticketmaster had 10th row floor seats on the day of the event, they had great seats all weak at all price points except $50.00 and you could could actually get the some awesome floor seats for about $250.00 from ticketsnow, stubhub, or any of the brokers. Great 200 level seats where going for around $150 a ticket right up until showtime.

Whatever scalper you were talking to must really have thought you were a sucker.
