ill always remember his first mma appearance in Extreme Fighting 1...Peretti hyped this guy up to be the hvwt equivalent of a Gracie on the ground..i remember him beating a very tough and game Tartarkin and then Meyers in the finals..he beat some scrub at Extreme fighting 2 and then he got exposed basically by Maurice Smith at EF 3...after that i remember him taking a break and then coming to the Ufc Japan and getting tapped by Sakuraba which is nothing to be ashamed of...after that, he seemed to fade away but kept fighting..
so how good was Silveira?was he basically just one of the first big strong guys that trained in BJJ and ended up fighting or was he better than that?

Even back then I remember thinking he didn't look very good on the ground. I figured he was big and strong so his BJJ never developed the way it should have. That being said I'm sure he is and was a lot better than what he showed in the cage.

CONAN SILVERIA was big and intimidating but underperformed based on the hype. SAKU took him down.
He got into a South Florida drug ring dustup and has since got back on track, not sure if he did time on that or not.
