condit has striking advantage

GSP has had reach advanatage over many of the guys he fought...

He also fought some one dimensional or just flat out bad strikers.

Its actually pretty easy to punish a opponet with your jab when you have reach adavabtage, Faster feet, and your opoonet is predictable and doesnt vary his attack enough.

Carlos condit is so much better standing than what gsp sees from his opponets.

GSP lost edge in reach

I think carlos is a better overall striker with more tools than GSP

Tall Condit with many tools compared to

Short - hands only bj penn

Short- hands only koscheck

Bad and slow technique - jake shields

Gsp is gonna wrestle wrestle wrestle

Standing with condit is dangerous and stupid for GSP

GSP is smart, he will fake and shoot, His striking will be thrown very carefully to avoid counters to set up takedowns

Questions are..

. Will condit find that opening in 25 minutes?

Can gsp control condit enough on ground to maintain enough control to get descion?

I think era of control to win descion is harder to do. 25 minutes gives better striker many chances to land split second big shit

GSP IS awesome at it control game though...

Condit is just not usual short, one dimensional, or low IQ striker gsp
Normally faces.

Tall and mean is gonna get a late tko.

Im betting on it. 300 is def worth it

Props to GSP too if he can control and especially damage condit.

Props to jack slack for his striking columns:). They make me think about fighter match ups better striking wise

Cant wait! Phone Post

I think that Condit is definitely the most dangerous striker GSP has faced. There is the real threat of Condit landing a KO shot if GSP makes a mistake. If GSP mixes it up with takedowns and perfect strategy however he's going to grind Condit down and take him out the fight.

Can Condit come back psychologically from a few rounds of this? So many great questions this fight. Phone Post

Gsp will outstrike Condit IMO. Much the same as he did with Alves. The threat of the TD will be huge. Btw, they have the same reach.

Condit is an awesome striker. Pretty technical, unique, and he puts some nice combos together. But he does get repetitive. We know we will get a flying knee, front kick, spinning elbow, knee kicks, etc.

I'm very curious about how GSP comes out. I know lately he has been very... reactive. He waits for his shots and strikes from the outside. I think he is going to be aggressive make Conditions fight off his back foot. It will take away most threats from kicks. And open up TD's. I'm calling it right now. The only thing GSP really has to be concerned with is a flash KO. An elbow or knee or hook.

Its going to go much the way of Rory Mac/Condit round 1. The difference is that when GSP is on top, he isn't getting swept. Watch out for GSP to pull off an armbar

Condit gets the TKO Phone Post

Watch Condit vs. Ellenberger. this is probably how GSP Condit will go. except Condit will finish him in 4 or 5 Phone Post

This is definitely the biggest challenge GSP has faced on the feet in a while.

Alves was a very dangerous striker as well, as is BJ Penn. Both lack the length and diversity of strikes that Carlos brings to the table though. It will be interesting to say the least.

Fair assessment. I'm still taking GSP.

Alves definitely HAS the diversity, but, he does not utilize it.  Often I notice he gets engaged in boxing matches with the occasional kick thrown in.

Absolutely.I worded that poorly.  Against GSP in particular he really avoided kicks because of the threat of TD. I hope Carlos will not have that same fear of the TD. He is much more diverse off his back than Alves from what I have seen.

Alves seems to really only use his kicks to the legs most of the time. He has the arsenal just doesn't seem to bust it out much.

GSP 's jab funna be all up in Condit's face tonight Phone Post

what the fuck has ellenberger done to be compared to GS fucking p?

I get on gsp's case for seemingly not being able to finish his lunch, but hes miles away from ellenberger...thats mma math for ya....

I Kind of disagree with this tbh, but we wil see.

I don't think it changes the fact that GSP can take him down at will.

That's not even mma math, it's just stupidity.

An example of MMA math is GSP > SHIELDs > CONDIT.

Anyone realize the muscle gain for condit? the guy is looking primed for this fight...im excited

Im not saying Ellenberger is close to GSP. Just pointing out the wrestling factor. and Ellenberger has way more power. GSP wont strike with Condit for long. and when he does take him down, Carlos will be very active and hard to keep down. Phone Post
