Congrats Denis Kang & Steve Bruno!

Denis and Steve both fought in the Spirit MC show in Korea and won!

Denis won by unanimous decision landing several nice punches and kicks throughout the bout.
His opponent has an iron chin and was very difficult to put away (finish).

Steve Bruno won by TKO in the 2nd round. Steve controlled the first round. 2nd round both exchanged some standup. His opponent shot in for a takedown and Steve landed a knee. His opp. pulled guard. Steve went for a kimura but was defended. Steve starts to ground and pound and takes his back. Steve continues pucnhing until the ref stopped the fight.

Congratulations to both Steve and Denis on their performance. Steve should be in line for a title shot in their next event. Well done guys!

Nice!!! ATT!!!

Missed Kang's fight, but I am surprised it went to a decision. Then again, Choi Jeong Kyu is a tough mutherfucker.

Bruno looked good in his fight against Kim Ho Jin. (He looked a little bit lack-luster in his previous outing against Choi Yeong.)This was Kim's first real big test, and he was in the fight until Bruno landed some hard shots in the first round that put him down on his knees. Bruno followed up with dozens of unanswered blows to the head as Kim tried to rise/defend/get his bearings. Ultimately he rolled back to guard but never got back into the fight.

Bruno said some nice words to the Corean fans after the fight, but all of it got lost in translation. He challenged Spirit MC champion Im Jae Seok to a fight in April.

Interestingly enough, Im Jae Seok spent two months training at ATT with Bruno, Kang, and others so it'll be an interesting show-down.

Nice to see ATT in Corea again. Their team is always respectful and classy and they'll always be welcome here.

fos

fos - Thanks for the pbp. I got the results/info from Gesias "JZ" who was at the show to help corner Denis and Steve.

I remember Jae Seok training here with another short stocky teammate (forgot his name). Jae seemed very athletic with some good stand-up. Both good guys who trained hard while they were here. I look forward to seeing Steve fight Jae for the title. I'm sure it will be an entertaining fight for the fans.

ATT,

JZ looked HUGE at the fights. He looked to be the same size as Bruno (although Bruno has a pretty thick upper body.) How much weight does he cut?

The other fighter at ATT was one of our guys, Kim Jae Young. Jae Young came back from ATT an animal. His ground game improved tenfold, not to mention his takedown defense and his standup.

Keep up the good work!

fos- JZ's probably a little heavier than normal due to the fact he broke his hand and the doc wouldn't let him do much. He is starting to get back in shape now.

Doesn't surprise me. Young and Seok  took advantage of the opportunity and trained hard with our team while they were here. Thanks for the good words and good luck with your team.
