Congrats Fitness Plus Fighters...

Congrats to the Fitness Plus fight team for putting on a great performance in Fredricton, N.B. this past weekend in full contact kickboxing.

Kirk Chiasson showed a lot of heart as he took a fight at the weigh-ins, and lost a very close decision.

Peter McGrath was a fan favorite and demonstrated amazing ability and technique en route to a unanimous decision against a much larger opponent.

Mike Scudder proved his powerful skills with a ref stoppage in the third round after inflicting 2 previous 8 counts and a knock down.

This was the team's first event and you guys definately represented well. I was extremely proud to have you guys fight for our gym. This is only the beginning of many great things for all 3 of you.

cool, did you guys get any video footage?

We are trying to get some from another team.

Who held the fights? Any website to go along with it?

The New Brunswick Amateur KickBoxing Association hosted the event. I don't know if there is a website or not.

Great work guys!

Scott, will I be seeing you at the kids grappling tournament this coming weekend in Kentville?

Cool, way to go Scudder!!

Fitnessplus, could you give a description of Kirk's fight, I used to work with that tough bastard, and it must of been war.

First let me start by saying Kirk fought a very tough competitor by the name of Brian Mazerolle. Kirk took this fight while at the weigh-ins to help corner our guys. The fight started with Brian putting on a lot of pressure. As the round went on Kirk started to close the distance as Brian had spent a lot of gas earlier. The first round ended with Kirks nose bleeding. The second round was more of the same with the two having some great exchanges. They both were quite gassed by the end. The third round was fairly even as Brian would come on strong, Kirk would weather the storm and counter effectivley. The fight ended with these two having spent every bit of their energy. It was entertaining to say the least. Brian walked out the winner and Kirk came out with all of his teams respect for putting it on the line with little preparation. We are proud to have him on our team.
