I just want to congratulate my friend and training partner Jason Saggo on his win tonight at MMA the reckoning. Jason won by arm bar in the second round, an arm bar that we have been drilling for the past month. On behalf of myself, Prof. Paul Abel and the RGDA team congratulations Jay!!!

This kid is the real deal. Suddenly 4-0 against real dangerous opponents.
A lot of people are superselective about who they fight, but not Jay.
I knew this kid was the real deal when I offered him a fight on 4 days notice against a 7-1 amateur opponent who was one of Firaz' young sharks in Quebec city. Hours after I offered it to him, he jumped in his car with his buddy as a corner, drove to Montreal, paid for his meds, drove to Quebec, made weight, and fought this young stud. Got his nose broken in round 1 and subbed him in round 2.
Proud of you Saggo. 2 more big ones this summer.

I had the pleasure of working with jay for a little bit before this fight and I can tell you he has the composure of a much more experienced fighter. He was really well prepped by his team and his coach Paul Abel. It was a pleasure to work with him, talk trash with him and sit in the sauna while he did step ups and pummeled. The only problem with his performance was that i barely managed to catch it all, even from the corner, as i was so distracted by the rugged manliness of Matt Macgrath (Saggo was even more distracted by it so i don't feel too bad).
