I've been lucky to have Javi as an instructor last year for a week, amazing skills and i'm not surprised by his qualifying to ADCC.
Congrats!!

Congrats to javi, and hopefully his injuries are behind him and he can represent well at adcc 2005 and maybe get another shot at fighting in the ufc.
most impressive was his dominating victory over glover who looked to be on fire in all his other matches
Javier is retired from MMA, he's just going to concentrate on grappling
and focusing on his school and students and making them the best
they can possibly be.
Congrats Javi.
How did the brackets go?
Javi was one of the most impressive fighters at the trials. Cameron Earle and Alberto Crane were also amazing to watch!
Congrats ttt
What was Javi vs. Crane like? That's what enquiring minds want to know.
Max
if i remember correctly, javi took crane's back in the first minute of the fight and switched back and forth from mount to backmount for the time period where there are no points scored. then crane got guard back and it was a slower technical battle that ended with 2 points by javi in the closing seconds, either from a takedown or a guard pass i forget.
TTT For Javi!
The brackets went just like I thought. Javi on one side and Crane on the other. Javi and Crane had to go through Canadians in the first round. Javi had Glover in the next round... he got him and the guy in the first round in triangles. Crane had Romi, and won on points. Javi and Crane went to the finals. Javi took him down and almost got him when he took his back. It was a really technical fight... neither of them went for anything too riskey. Javi was on his back... then to mount... had his back again... back to mount. It was a good fight I just wish that Javi would have got the tap the first time that he got his back. Oh well... see you guys in the LBC for the worlds.
Now I don't feel so bad about him toying with me last time. It's icing the cake by beating alberto crane I'm sure! ;) Congrats to Javy!
Javi is great!
Does Javier have a website for his school?
Hurry back to the fight game after abhu dabi!
congrats javi
ttt
sweet! Congrats Javier
Javi's website is going to be showtimejiujitsu.com, but it is still in development. It should be up in a little while. I still put up news and info on Millennia's site about Javi, so you can check there from time to time. He's at Showtime Jiu-Jitsu full time, but he still makes a point to drop by Millennia Jiu-Jitsu every once and a while.
Congrats!!
