On Sat. June 18th, several of my students went down to Santa Cruz, CA and competed in Claudio Franca's Jiu-itsu By The Sea competition. Eli Sanchez, Sam Spengler, Patrick Kong, and David Armstead all took 1st place gold in their respective divisions. Joe Gonzales, Ed Matsui, and Ruben Paredes Jr. all took 2nd place silver in their respective divisions. Great job to all my students who competed.
