Congrats to Team Planet Jiu-Jitsu at last weeks Battle at the Beach
Event taking 3rd place overall in the Adult No-Gi Divisions.
Glen Sandull lead the team to another impressive showing with his
huge win over Rhadi Ferguson to take the Advanced Masters
Heavyweight title.
The rest of the team took 3 First Place titles, 3 Second Place and 1
Third Place.
Rich Attonito was the star of the night with his huge win over Lance
Everson for the Light-Heavyweight Title. Look for Rich to defend his
Belt in November.
Lance is a talented fighter with tons of heart and experience. It was an
honor to talk with him and his team both before and after the match.
We all wish him the best and hope he returns to the ring again soon
Congratulations, to jim and dan on there promotions to blue.. Cant wait to see them in the ring in nov.
rich should know by now wheter win or lose we would of been proud of him. the dedication that he has put into fighthing, and his work ethic is something that we can all learn from, and admire.
Glen, what can i say that hasnt been said already, and god forbid he would come in to train once in a while.. then imagine how good he would be..
Jeff
Rich looked very good out there. He looked to be solid in all facets of his game against a skilled tough opponent with a lot more experiance. He has a bright future in the sport I was very impressed by his performance
Congrats Jeff, Rich and Team! You guys are always awesome sportsman and it was our pleasure and honor to compete with you guys.
Lance is already begging me to get him a re-match. I have to try a different approach to his training. He like's Rich. He thinks he's a cool guy so during the fight they're smiling and goofing off while they're punching each other like we do when we train.
Jeff, I'm gonna have to lie to Lance and tell him Rich says he hits like a school girl and if they ever fight again that he wants Lance to wear a dress. This is the only way I can bring out the animal in Lance. So if he's throwing bad looks your way next time you see him you'll know why. I'll tell him the truth after the fight.
