Congratulations to Renzo

For the first rate sportsmanship he showed at Pride when he lost to Carlos Newton!!! Great example of BJJ sportsmanship.

(old news? whatever!)

Jayhof is correct... Renzo = class act

Thanks a lot Jayhof! I guess next your going to post how the "Lord of the Rings" ends? :)

Dude we all know LOTR ends with....

Duede!!!(gaitec)
You should have called, you could have watched with us . . .

;) I thought this was old news, when I watched it. Brian told me the results were in the grappling magazine and it arrived the day we watched the Pride.

I agree. I just caught Pride Bushido on Sunday night without knowing the results ahead of time. Renzo is a class act and this fortified his sportsman like conduct. He definitely stepped up with his comments and showed that the Gracie's are thankful for what the Japanese have done for their family and the sport. The development of the Brazilian art(circa 1910) is well chronicled in his new book. I am just now reading it now; (Mastering JuJitsu) and the authors are chronicling in great detail the origins of all JuJitsu, Judo and Brazilian JiuJitsu.

Renzo is very good for the sport and is a great role model for people getting interested. I hope that all fans show their appreciation to him.

I haven't seen Bushido, but the way he praised Sakuraba immediately after having his elbow bent out of shape really impressed.

Was it just me or did anyone else think Newton looked much larger than Renzo.By the way,I like both fighters, but Newton looked about the same height as Renzo only with a much larger chest and lower body.It was a very good matchup though.

Renzo is a great sportsman!

I was just bustin' your chops Jayhof... But, I did buy it Christmas Day because all the guys in the family were interested in the fight, and you are correct about Renzo. BTW, I just got back from LOTRs; so, now I'm all caught up. :)

Hey Gaittec!!!

You hurt my feelings! (Remember what I do for a living! - some say I don't have any . . . )

Win or Lose, Renzo = Da man!!!

(Remember what I do for a living! - some say I don't have any . . . )

Sorry man, I guess I'll go wrist lock myself like you showed us last year. If I'm late for work though, it's your fault for not showing the escape.

Wristlock, hell!, everyone knows those techniques don't work - btw, congratulations to Renzo - again!

Tell that to Fredson Paixao

RENZO = GOOD 4 BJJ

And kudos to Carlos for the respect he gave to Renzo.
