Won against Mendes for the interim in July, a year ago.
Unified the belt in December of last year.
Then nada.
This Diaz saga is getting annoying and seems pointless.
Now we get ANOTHER interim title, this time with the Champ completely healthy.
If the sally wouldn't have faked a retirement, this process could finally be over in 48 hours.
This is what happens when you let fighters call the shots.
Hahaha way to change the focus off of Jones
Jose Aldo averaged about 210 days between title defenses so tell me more
Im not into beating a dead horse. The writing was on the wall for Jonny boy.
Anyone who is surprised just hasn't been paying attention.
How many days was aldo champ from the second mendes fight to the Conor mendes interim fight.
El Toro Tino - Jose Aldo averaged about 210 days between title defenses so tell me moreAt least that was injury.
Slave feet - How many days was aldo champ from the second mendes fight to the Conor mendes interim fight. It was more than a year. But again injury.
He wasn't out trying to get fights with Lightweights or Welterweights when he had business in his own division.
Either way, this isn't about Aldo
im mostly annoyed at the fake retirement.
Diaz and Conor could have been this weekend.
Then we could figure out what he is doing with the title.
If he's leaving, then leave.
Yeah I agree but they will always be compared. My thing is format we need time and reason for interim titles. They cannot be tossed out like this we're losing the value of a champion.

he sure was injured a lot
He murdered the division.
superlurker2011 - As long as he defends it within a year there's nothing to cry about. He has until December to defend it, which he will most likely do in December in New York.
Unless he gets smacked up by Diaz again. That fight is the end of next month, if he's on medical suspension and who knows mentally how he takes B2B bad losses (if it happens, yes it will). I wouldn't say fighting in December is guaranteed. Can't wait to see this but he definitely has more meaningful fights he should be worrying about.
They need to introduce something to stop this kind of thing happening, one of my biggest hates in boxing is that there's too many champions... it starts to make it less of a big deal - one belt and then a mandatory is the second guy, if the second guy isn't available then the third, if your are coming off a loss regardless of who it's too then you go back down the ladder and work your way back up, if you are the champ and dont fight the mandatory you lose the title and go to the back of the line... everybody saying that yueah but you have to make the best fights, let's be fair, if your the champ and continue winning then your going to have to fight them all at some point anyway so do it in a fair way... I blame all those gullible fools that buy into this BS that chael, Connor and the rest of the new wave of not quite talented enough to get there by merit fighters speak to let them talk their way in to a title fight where they might just land that special punch and get a title then we all have to sit around cause they refuse to give a rematch for the title or fight the next deserving challenger cause they can't accept he fact that they aren't as good at fighting as they are at talking and that they lost to a guy that come off the beach to slap them about... way to top guys
