Yes the UFC can make an exception and allow a fighter to fight prior to the 4 months wait period.
But when have the ever just taken a fighter out of the testing pool for no apparent reason? THe Mayweather fight was a copromotion so he was still an active UFC fighter before, during, and after the fight.
