Conor is a Lightweight

Why do so many people think that Conor should fight Masvidal? Conor fought at 170 because of a pull-out, then felt like he should redeem his loss and went back in and did it.

Featherweight*. Conor is the only guy in the history of the sport that people call over rated because he lost to people 1-2 weight classes higher than him. 7-0 at FW with 6 finishes. Sure he's not the goat, but he's far from hype.

He's absolutely the GOAT FW as of right now. People can cry about him having reach, yet he never, ever missed 145lbs. So what if he has God given genetic advantages. Should someone with ridiculous power have to move up a weight class because it's an 'unfair advantage'?

Mcgregor has defeated every FW champion the UFC has ever had, not to mention finishing number 1 contenders.

At 155lbs he becomes top 5-10. At 170lbs that drops significantly. Weight classes exist for a reason.

I agree with OP. I think part of it is because Jorge is a smaller welterweight. He's probably still got size on Conor though. I don't hear anyone calling for him to fight any of the bigger WWs.

Aldo is the featherweight GOAT. But I agree with everything else you said.

He was a great FW. We will never see him at that weight again tho

Conor should stay at LW.

This jumping all over in weight classes is annoying.

He fought at 170 because he thought he would add the 170lb belt to his collection after getting the 155lb belt.

Conor does not fight anymore. Move on.

Vinny the clown

Is he even ranked at any weight right now?

He's a LW anyone who thinks he's a WW is a clown. His cardio goes to shit at 170

I took top 5-10 at LW as Conor would be ranked in the 5-10 range if he was fighting consistently at LW.

I don’t think he’s the FW GOAT either. Never cleaned out the division. Definitely top 3 FW of all time, though.

He’s pretty clearly stating top 10 right now if active.

No, he didn’t. It was supposed to be RDA vs. Mcgregor for the LW title but RDA pulled out, in stepped Nate but he wouldn’t fight unless it was at 170, Conor agreed. After losing the bout Diaz was quoted as saying if he had a full camp Mcgregor wouldn’t have made it out of the first round, this pissed Mcgregor off because in his mind he also fought Nate on 2 weeks notice and 15lbs out of his weight class while he had prepared for RDA, a much shorter and vastly different style fighter. So Mcgregor begged for the rematch and begged for it to be at the same exact weight so no excuses could be made. A simple google search would have told you this.
