Conor is done…. Sad to see

The man who once said shit about “panic wrestling” ended up doing that against Diaz. He also said “first guy to go for a td is a bitch” or something like that for this fight.

Is it possible Conor knew his leg was hurt so he went for the guillotine to get off his feet and try to finish the fight ASAP?

watch it again.

Conner

3 leg strikes and one significant punch in first 1;30

personally, i doubt he knew his leg was already fucked (we cant even be sure it was alredy but i think there is def a possiblity from a check). But he would not have done that had he been confidant things were gonna go that well for him in a prolonged standing battle. Why else would he have done that? It wasnt as if Dustin shot from a long extended double and left his neck hanging out and Connor pounced like Charles Oliveira…either he was desperate or his fight IQ aint all that. There is the narrative that he just goes for things as a risk taker but on a self sacrifice guillotine with Dustin potentially ending up on top of you for a few minutes reigning down bows?

The other thing is that Connor could not even hold off Dustin from his guard for more than a few moments before he started getting beat on. People said his ground defense was good for while against Khabib and that may have been the case but what happened here?

I do more agree with you.

It was just so odd. I told my gf when Conor survived the round that I didn’t want it to end on a rolled ankle because that’s what I thought happened live.

It quickly became apparent that it was more than a rolled ankle. On replay I’ve never seen anything like it. 9,999/10,000 times that foot plant is a rolled ankle, It had to be already fractured to break the way it did.

Crazy result.

Right. Im no doctor and that is why i made a thread asking if a 100% ankle can just break like that. One guy seems to think so thus i asked for any other examples in MMA or even in the NBA where you have 300lb guys jumping up in the air a few feet. I know ankle and knee injuries are common in basketball and soccer for example but to just break like that? Never seen anything like that…the thing it reminded me of was the Chandler fight in Bellator.

Conor used to be Midleton Very Rare. Now he is Proper Twelve.

Sad to see. Same thing happens to Larry Holmes. And Ali for that matter.

Pfizer leg

Ok nate. Keep living in your wonder years.

I’m loving this Jolie/McGregor angle by Conor. Will get him a fourth fight.

The only time I’ve seen anything like it was Moises Alou in a home game with the Montreal Expos. But he was stopping from a sprint between bases and planting on old school shitty turf, his foot was glued his momentum kept going.

Conor just stepped back though. Crazy.

Dustin knows the worst thing he can do to Conor is to not give him a 4th fight. Dustin is calling the shots now.

Conor will move on to Tyson or Jake Paul next.

He won’t train properly for Jake Paul and he’ll lose. It will be pathetic and embarrassing for him and for mma.

Jake Paul should be the favorite.

I also don’t think he can beat Mike Tyson at this point. A fight against Tyson Beckford would be more fair.

He got super rich, but it was the worse thing for him? Fuck I hope I catch a bit of his bad luck.

The guy basically wrote a how to book on mma prize fighting. And a book on how to capitalize and maximize profits.

I am still a fan of his but an honest one. He has had glaring holes in his game since his ufc arrival. It was only a matter of time till he got figured out.

Gsp always evolved and pushed himself to be better every fight. Conor rolled the dice.

He’s too small for Paul. Guess we’ll see what happens with Woodley. But I could see Conor getting beaten by a scrub thats way too big for him.

He’s been done.

Beating a post prime Cerrone didn’t count.
