Sorry for my second Conor thread of the night.
I've doubted Conor quite a bit over his time in the UFC. I never denied his skill - he is fantastic. But I picked Mendes, Aldo, Diaz (x2), and Eddie to beat him. Each time, I acknowledged Conor had a great chance, but I just thought the other guys had too much to offer him. Each time, I was wrong.
Conor has beaten every time of fighter. Tonight, he was a FAR better fighter than the guy who fought Chad Mendes.
What's awesome is this: He's clearly fantastic, BUT, there are still plenty of people who offer incredibly compelling matchups. How do rematches with Aldo and Diaz go? How does he do with as incredible (but hittable) a grappler like Khabib? What about Frankie with his great setups? How about El Cucuy with his pace and unique style?
He has a lot of fantastic matchups in his future (barring a shocking announcement tonight).
I am in the same boat...l pick all those guys too.
The guy is a freak .

That's what's so cool. I'm STILL not sure who would win in Conor v. Khabib, Frankie, and Ferguson fights. (I would pick Conor over Nate and Aldo).
So compelling.
In fairness u were right the first time u picked Diaz

Indeed.
My Conor record is 3-4 (Diego, Dustin, Nate v. Nate, Aldo, Mendes, and Eddie).
ttt
I'm hoping he keeps the two belts he's got, takes a well earned break, then comes back and wrecks Woodley.
'Tree time Champion'
Tyron backing up against the cage like he does gives Conor all he needs to bludgeon him into oblivion.
Thats what I wanna see.
