You can go back 11 days ago and see I had Diaz winning via sub
As I digress though Conor looked phenomenal.
Name me another striker that can strike from all levels and angles? This man went up 25 pounds and was able to unleash some of the most beautiful striking accuracy. He can place a punch and know it will land.
But as I expected Conor would gas. His output of energy would leave him gassed and open to the most dangerous strike that can leave take the most out of you and that is the jab.
IMO no one at FW stands a chance against him other then Frankie. Aldo is to stable and stationary and will be picked apart & destroyed.
Yeah, Conor was winning the fight up until he started to gas.
theshooter - Yeah, Conor was winning the fight up until he started to gas.So if I fought Nate and I landed the first strike, would you tell me "I was winning until Iost?"
That argument is so fucking stupid. It's not like it was anywhere near a 10-8. I hate that fucking argument.

theshooter - Yeah, Conor was winning the fight up until he started to gas.Nate even said he started off slow cause he had no training camp. Guy was on a yacht drinking when he got the call. The training for the triathlon thing he made up so Conor doesnt get too much confidence.
Even then, his cardio held up better than Conor. If Nate actually trained, he woulda been worse for Conor.

SUPER HLUK -No ones saying he would've won. In fact, it's possible if he didn't fight with that output that he wouldn't have been close to as effective. The fact is that Conor was landing a shitload of clean punches in the first and Diaz only had one. Same goes for the second until Conor gassed.theshooter - Yeah, Conor was winning the fight up until he started to gas.So if I fought Nate and I landed the first strike, would you tell me "I was winning until Iost?"

However, it's a 25 minute fight, There's plenty of Abel Trujillo's out there that can fuck up someone like tony Ferguson up until he gasses out and Tony Breaks him. Just depends on how you look at it. Conor had a great performance in an Abel Trujillo kinda way.

theshooter - Yeah, Conor was winning the fight up until he started to gas.Lol Nate was taking shots in Cabo while Conor was prepping for a title fight.
Conor got owned.

I thought Conor was landing hard aswell until I rematched the fight. 98% of his shots were getting parried or were being rolled with.
Connor kept looking for that huge left. He never landed a real clean shot. A lot of energy to not land clean especially when throwing bombs every time.
JerodR - Connor kept looking for that huge left. He never landed a real clean shot. A lot of energy to not land clean especially when throwing bombs every time. You are mistaken, watch that video with the shields audio, you see completely different angles and a lot of Nates corner panicking a bit and telling Nate to shoot or clinch or back up or throw back. He had a slow start and got lit up because of it. However, going into a fight with a Diaz bro expecting an early knockout is just setting yourself up for failure.

DarkPlace Daz - I thought Conor was landing hard aswell until I rematched the fight. 98% of his shots were getting parried or were being rolled with.Conor opened Nate's eye a little in the first but the real damage was done in the second IMO

I just think Nate is a bad matchup for him stylistically. He may well have beaten RDA.
SUPER HLUK -Relax bro. Who did you score the first round for?theshooter - Yeah, Conor was winning the fight up until he started to gas.So if I fought Nate and I landed the first strike, would you tell me "I was winning until Iost?"

Landing one punch and winning an entire round are slightly different things.
theshooter - Yeah, Conor was winning the fight up until he started to gas.Conor had no business fighting fat skinny Nate. Stick to 145 and beat up the little guyz. This was a chess match w some pawn sacrifices and no queen.

It's also not correct to say that Conor 'went up 25 lbs' for this fight. He just didn't take off 25 lbs - it's not the same thing. I accept that he was above his normal fighting weight, but so was Diaz, and Diaz had no camp leading up to the fight. Whichever way you look at it, Conor was - or should have been - better prepared than Diaz for this. The fact is that they are pretty much the same weight but Conor usually cuts more than Diaz; Conor lost to a better fighter, that's all there is to it.

if diaz is still skinnyfat at 169, can he make 145?
roop did it
Weird that the "smaller man" gassed.
Diaz made him gas. Simple as that
The Little Axe Murderer -You know how much not having a full training camp really didn't matter to Nate especially since the fight ended in the second.theshooter - Yeah, Conor was winning the fight up until he started to gas.Nate even said he started off slow cause he had no training camp. When you train as regular as these guys do your punches/ takedowns/ subs becomes instinct.
Two weeks was more than enough time to knock the rust off. The only concern would of been if the fight went into the later rounds.
Conor just lost to a better/smarter fighter.. End of story

Acidic - You can go back 11 days ago and see I had Diaz winning via subWasn't Nate's accuracy better?

Conor didn't really look all that great. He was very one dimensional. Basically winging his left hoping to KO Nate.
