Great interview. I like when he said martial arts isn't about weight classes and somewhere along the way it turned into something else. Also confirmed that he committed to be on UFC 200.
The way he described his relationship with the UFC was great too, he'll continue to climb that ladder but credits the UFC for giving him his stage and says he will always remain partners with Zuffa no matter how big he gets cause he's about loyalty.
I believe him too, he's still working in Ireland loyal to the same team of guys he's always trained with. Still the same girlfriend, always shows up to fight. "I'm still me" he said emphatically. That is the real deal right there.
Enjoy this while it lasts, we won't see the likes of Conor again for a long long time.

Ya,I love connor and think it makes infinitely more sense to keep moving up for big name fights -- not to mention making your way up to WW would be insane and incredibly challenging --, but he's clearly not a division killer.
He hasn't rematched the legend he beat (I don't agree with immediate rematches, but obviously a second fight would be in order), he hasn't rematched Mendes who put up a good short notice fight and most importantly, he hasn't fought his biggest threat, Frankie.
LW is also stacked with some of the most incredible wrestlers, but if he beats RDA he's not going to clean out the division. He'll either take some more exciting fights then pop up to WW
Don't even mean it as a critique, but division killer is the LAST thing I would call McGreggor. If anything he's using the leverage he now has to fight to pick his fights so he can, hopefully, avoid some of the deadlier wrestlers. If he ever truly wanted to clean out WW or LW, he'd eventually hit a wall with grapplers imo. I just want to enjoy his fights personally

If he can convincingly beat RDA all bets are off though. That's an absolutely insane feat, and I'd never doubt him again after that. I don't think he'll manage, but I really hope so
