Khabib’s 26-0 is overhyped at the level we’re talking about (i.e. best in the world). Until he consistently faces top 5 competition, he’s an unknown quantity.

Yes, clearly, Conor has better wins at this point but…lol at going all over the time frame to putting Max as current champ when he was like a 21 year old green noob without a proper camp when he fought Conor. Its still a legit win but lol.

I agree… Its a point people are willfully ignoring. I don’t get that. It’s very relevant…

Not to mention that is probably the logic why he left former champ off of Dos Anjos

RDA was on a 5 fight win streak and hit a 5 fight win streak after Khabib including beating Cerrone twice, Bendo and Pettis. A 10 fight streak including the belt, unseating the thought to be unbeatable Pettis. Pretty significant road block in RDA’s spread there.

Ha, I did try to put that point in the best light possible LOL. But, I guess it’s also worth pointing out that Conor was only like 24 or 25 at the time himself, fucked up his knee in the middle of the fight, and was not exactly with a powerhouse gym.

Agreed. Same as with Conor’s opposition. Max, Porier, and Alvarez have all done well since Conor beat them. Aldo destroyed Stephens. Alvarez and Porier finished Justin. These guys are all equal to each other except for Max.

Considering even 21 year old Max imo beats everyone of Khabibs best opponents. Barboza and Johnson would be tough but I think Max would have gotten the nod even then

Aldo and Alvarez are legit wins for Conor…Aldo walked into that punch chin up and reckless Rematch would go much different…
Holloway was green and young he’d beat Conor ass today.
Poirier is chinny
Mendez had no camp and is 5’nothing and was winning the fight until he gassed.
Khabib top 5 may not be as impressive but he NEVER lost a round and quit, If Conor fought the same five he would lose 3 of em…
Khabib mauls him easy and talks to him while doing so…
Let’s just take a minute to appreciate here, that Darrell Horcher is legitimately one of Khabibs top five wins. Not many look into early careers, but Khabibs is HEAVILY padded with absolute cans, we’re talking 0-6 cans here, people with ridiculous losing records
I’ve never known anyone as overrated as Khabib is. He could be the real deal, but he’s in no way proved he’s even a top five fighter yet, and somehow he’s champ! Barboza is a gimme fight for any semi decent wrestler, and Johnson badly rocked Khabib early.
I still think Conor KOs him very early, I hope I’m wrong and Khabib embarrasses him with lay and pray whilst whispering “who’s your daddy”
