Went range......jeebus my shoulder dislikes my .270 win. hunting rifle. I zero's scope last week and was still hurting, so only fired ~10 rounds getting my backup ghost ring sight zero'd.....FUK!
Jarheads had a LWRC R.E.P.R. 7.62x51mm
I pretty-much liked it, but only fired a few rounds.
light, smooth single-stage trigger.....I much prefer a crisp, clean mil 2-stage @ 4.5#s.
Weight.....like anything nowadays, little too much for my tastes, but is the nature of the beast with modularity/rails expected for todays users.
Sights....UGGH! Irons nowadays are relegated to "back-up" status and therefore are fukin BLEECH! These LWRC use a Troy (IIRC) sights.....I dislike, something about them just makes me lose them and I'm used to thin match conditioned M14 front sight. Rear sight too, not my cup-o-tea......gimme a hooded N/M aperture and I is CROM raining down his wrath out to the effective range of a 7.62.....I just couldn't see shit crisply even at 100yds :( Or am I just getting old?? :p
Anyway, seems like a nice gun, didn't have time to play with it with some matchgrade ammo......maybe next time I'll get to run it prone in sling and bipod w/&w/o optics and I'll let him run my bolt tac-rifle. LWRCs are nicely built guns and seem to be quality with lots of fans in the shooting world, so any HGers looking at higher-end ARtype platforms should give theem a eye/finger-fukking.
forgot to mention....cool-ass side mounted charging handle!
I browsing the specs.....maybe it was a 2-stage trigger?? snfd I'm punchy from 3hrs sleep and being there since 0615 :(.....but DAMN IT WAS LIGHT! :o I just can't handle those, my tac-rifle was built specifically with a 3.5# trigger, that's as low as I like.
Recoil.....neglible! I'm used to having a swollen lip and face from recoil of an m14 or m1A, this thing was nuthin'.
Another thing I liked, the stock.....nice fit.
FCTV needs one of these!......so I can play with it :p
voodoo!........ewwwwwww
it was very slimy voodoo
KyokushinCatch - damn. do my guns make my ass look fat? I know, I know. it's the fat that makes my ass look fat REPR was pretty sweet...despite the voodoo that my buddy was performing after each facken shot
Not at all!
Looks fine to me ;p

i'm getting a 308 first!
my god this blue hairy butterfly with the tat on its wing that has engulfed kcs ass
KyokushinCatch -FCTV808 - i'm getting a 308 first!
REPR is a .308
Oh noes!
...I hear a credit card sliding out of it's holster.
Love me a nice dual stage, pulling the slack out is half the fun :)
308 good out to 1000 yards says afganistan shooter.
yes.....and no :p
The farthest I shot a 7.62 is 1100m and that was with a M24, match-conditioned M14 w/irons was 800m and I missed the fuking popups on most the shots. 1000yds is no problem depending on the weight/design of the head and velocity of the given load (barrel length factors in for velocity too)as well as environmental factors. Current mil standard sniper round is very capable of 1000yds and with the right conditions you could push it a few hundred more, but the round is best for 800m or less.
And you ain't gonna shoot shit @1k anyway ;p
is the sarge jealous of fctvs buddy or threatened? i think they should have a duel to see whos gun knowledge prevails. maybe see who can stuff a box of potagee snausages up his own keester the quickest.
maybe even bobbing for knobs in a bucket full of coconut paste. hands down a photoshop contest would be in the good sarges favor
Indeed......Id win the sausage stuffing contest being well practiced at it. my gun kmowledge is dated and with each passing day foggier and increasingly forgotten.
Sarge is only jealous of the monster and ring bitches FCTV gets to hang with and I'm only threatened by Moke's adonis like body and unbelievably sensuous flowing locks of hair.To be clear, could I shoot a 7.62 1k?....not very well. Would I shoot a 7.62 1k?.....sure, but given a choice I'd use something else to increas my odds.and as I sttaed......fctv aint shooting shit @ 1k. them beady asian eyes dont aloow enough light to see that far.
