this is what I picture happening
Anderson is poor matchmaking, because he has the style to make a guy like Walker look bad. A lot of these highlight reel KO's take two to tango. Anderson has a high workrate and is a grinder. He's not a huge risk taker and is okay with winning via decision, so if he finds an approach that works, he's not likely to abandon it mid-fight.
Anderson also has fought against more proven competition.
Not saying Walker isn't capable of beating him, But I think someone like Glover or Gus would be a better style matchup. If the goal is to push Walker to the moon with marketability, there's much better name value guys to match him with, like the aforementioned, Shogun, or Jan (even though the last guy who slept on Jan got slept). Anderson has been improving his fight IQ, craftiness, and skillset with each ensuing outing and might still be just a little too far ahead on the ladder for a guy like Walker right now. Even the most exceptional amount of talent and athleticism can't replace the experience and wits that come from time in the cage, and he seems to have improved markedly from his earlier KO losses.

Honestly, this could end up being a very bad matchup for Walker. He's not some good or fundamentally sound boxer. I don't see him having the ring cutting, fight IQ, and Countering IQ of Shogun, to exploit Anderson off his jab like how Shogun did. Anderson is all about circling to his left while establishing his jab, stepping off with his jab, trying to get opponents walking into 1-2s, always looking to duck under responses, to his jab, for takedowns underneath. Very bad matchup for Walker if Walker doesn't get The Knockout. Walker is all about that explosion. If it's not hidden well or masked with fienting, it will be seen coming from a mile away by the fighters who are truly good. I don't see Walker being able to really exploit Anderson in the striking, but he absolutely can catch Anderson shooting in with a huge knee. I mean that is Walker's specialty isn't it? It very well could be another case of Walker timing another takedown with a massive knee again. All though, at this point you have to think opponents (Anderson) would now be game planning to avoid that (putting the head to the opposite side with the takedown. Only takedowns timed underneath strikes). In all honesty, if Walker doesn't get the knockout things can get very rough for him due to his lack of boxing skill. Walker will have to dig deep. Another great matchup by the UFC were both Fighters have clear avenues to win. If Walker struggles with Anderson as much as I think he will, people will finally begin to realize that Reyes is the real true LHW talent and future LHW king

Meanwhile Reyes would absolutely murder Anderson. Walker has more hype because hes flashier (and that's the easier thing for the common man to see) But to people who actually understand fighting, we all know Reyes is the 1 who's the real deal and soon to be LHW king
