Ive been calling for this fight for months. Seems like it is in the works, with Shane coming off of an injury, and still needing time for Cormier's hand to heal.
It also gives you the chance to see Josh Barnett's fight be the long anticipated Fedor fight. The winner would be guarenteed entry into the UFC. That fight with Cormier vs Carwin would add more subscriptions to showtime than ever before.

Against a big top class wrestler I don't think he's going to be getting a takedown, I think DC chooses where this fight takes place, if he feels comfortable standing with Dan then he will if he's worried about the hbomb then he'll shoot, as always hoping Hendo can find a way but not to optimistic
I fucking love this (theoretical) fight.
I think Shane can beat anyone in the HW division, but I think he needs to take a fight against a guy like Struve, Brown, Rothwell, or someone before jumping into a fight with DC, JDS, Reem, etc.
That would be an Awesome fight. ALso I would love to see Barnett against Mir, if Frank would happen to lose the main event.
Carwin with nearly a year off needs to fight a lesser opponent than Cormier. By the time Cormier hand heals the Reem should be off suspension, Id like to see that one.
I love DC but all the cormier/barnett fight proved was that when both are fighting one-handed, cormier beats Josh convincingly. Still not convinced that anyone fighting now can beat a healthy Josh Barnett.
